As a copywriter myself, AI like chatGPT writes terrible copy. It’s really bad

Those people who are commenting copywriting is goanna end because of AI. They are not at all informed that companies are already developing a policy of no AI-content. All of my freelancing clients are with me because they found AI content from other writers before.

I know freelancers who make 1 crore a year. After 7-10 years, it's easy to make 1 lakh from freelancing. Of course, your writing needs to be top-notch. Most good content writers I know (my favourites) easily charge like $500 per 1000 words. But the nuance is, most people will not stick around to learn and go through the pain of not getting any client initially. So when you start, you make almost nothing especially in freelancing. The above number are of 1% writers. Or less.

1 Lakh is used for 100 thousand in Indian Sub-continent. i.e. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and to some extent in Sri, Lanka, and South-East Asian countries too.

so many people are wondering about ai going to replace this job, well naah, its just gonna raise the bar high, remember this skill is just about creativity in words and ai is not creative, it will mimic what human have already done, not think itself.

A lot of you in comments are partial and have surface level understanding of copywriting. AI is a tool, it's like cherry on top. It can write copies that are worth peanuts. As a advanced copywriter myself, the deep and multi dimensional aspects that I cover as copywriter yields me 2.25-2.5 lakh a month. I work on 8-10 copies that . I charge almost 180-220 dollars each articles. You all have a generic view and understanding of it. You just watched some fancy video on KZfaq telling AI gonna end this Job and you are just stuck to it.

As I'm doing copywriting since the start of this year, this is totally fake. Chat GPT writes very shit copy. You can just use GPT as a tool.

It's better out side India. But ofc you can get international clients if you work freelance. Sometimes if your clients make it big they even sponsor you to come over!

Actually if you are good at it you can easily make 2 - 3 lacs per month as a freelance copywriter. If you are really good at sales and know how to build connections you can make anywhere 3 - 10 lacs/month. And yes I know copywriters who are making that much, I also know copywriters who are making more than that.
