Awesome wrap! Love the 40th anniversary spin-off. This gives me hope that my ‘97 locked and limited 4Runner with 104k original miles will sell for a profit.

I got a 4th gen 2004 about three months ago for $5800. And my head gasket just blew but it’s in the shop right now getting fixed. Can’t wait to start building it when it’s ready

Great looking rig. I bought mine for $3000 but I’ve put $12,000 just into getting it mechanically perfect ugh. Anyways, now I can build the fun stuff on it like suspension, wheels, tires, etc

Im about 8k into it and I bought it for 10k Canadian, just on maintenance and fixing shit. Pretty soon I’ll be able to start building it up

Have an 02 with 150k. Paid 2700....but thank god I’m a good fabricator. Fixed all rust on frame, replaced diff cover, rear axle seals, everything in rear drums. New gas tank and filler neck. But now I have a clean runner and only have 3600 in it. No cel, no ticks, 4wd works perfect. Interior is perfect. Anyone interested in video?

I just bought a 2001 4 runner with crazy low kms on it. I’ve just started building it and my neighbour offered me 15 thousand for it. Toyotas always hold that value

That’s an good looking third GEN you guys keep cutting them up. Everything I do to mine, I keep all the stock parts and could be put back to stock. I have a 96 with 120,000 miles V6 four-wheel-drive limited not even a crack in the leather . I only drive it from late spring till fall because I live in the rust belt and put under 5k miles a year on it.

Wow, I got my 96 Hilux Surf for £1900. I’ve got the roof rack, suspension done and done some cosmetics like the grill. I plan on keeping it and building it up some more. I’ll let the wife know I’m not wasting my money because it’s an investment 😂 I’ll show her this video!

Got any advice on pricing for me? My stepdad is the original owner of a 2000 3rd gen 4Runner SR5, TRD supercharger, 5speed manual, no major mechanical issues. He’s maintained it well, it is bone stock other than the factory trd supercharger. 210k on the odo. What would be a realistic price to purchase this from him? Prices are all over on the internet. I’ve seen some as low as $5k and as high as $30k here in Colorado (shift automotive on autotrader has a bunch of them listed with minimal mods around $30k 😳)

@@mtnyotas I’m not saying it’ll never sell, congrats on doing so. What I meant is u were asking other people how much the car costs based just on how much mods it had. Sure that’s one thing but before I would want to buy it, First thing I would check is the engine. Like I didn’t even know how much miles this car has until the end of the vid and what’s the condition of the engine. Plus if it was ever in accident. That’s just me personally I would find all that out before throwing in 30 grand

Love the content but I'm really annoyed at these kinds of channels getting unrealistic deals. I buy trucks all the time. I look every day for deals. Within 500 miles of me. I've never seen an 1800 dollar 4wd 4runner. Especially w a bumper. I'd like to see a video about costs be more realistic

We build trucks dude, we're not used car dealers or something. The reason we bought the 4Runner was because it was so cheap on marketplace... it didn't run and was listed for $4k - we asked the guy's bottom dollar and he said $1,800. This is as realistic as it gets.
