So many amazing places in the Philippines! I have been to the Philippines 19 times over the years with my Filipina wife. We will finally move there to Cagayan De Oro City next year from Seattle USA. We will open our beach hotel and enjoy life there. LOVE PHILIPPINES!!!!!!!!

Makati has two sides, but the areas outside the CBDs are relatively safe, cheaper, and more laid-back.

Can you do a video on hiring a full-time personal driver? Also, in addition, on hiring a full-time housekeeper? Please cover these two areas in-depth. Leave NO stone unturned. I'd like to hire these positions once there in BGC/MAKATI but don't know anything about what that would entail (the process of hiring, their work responsibilities and their benefits I provide to them). 🙏

Yes, utilities are very inexpensive. We used Globe in Sibonga (near CEBU) and it was excellent. Our water bill was $2 dollars a month, but our electricity was right in the range of what you said. We were in a 3 br house with a lovely walled garden though - and we were paying just over $400 a month for rent. So Makati is more expensive.

!Hola Caballero! Salamat! Manila is not only BGC and Makati. May I recommend to discuss other neighborhoods in Manila? For example, the views of Manila Bay and fresher air in Pasay. The whole bay area, with the land reclamation would be much more interesting and better than the rest of Manila. Also the old neighborhoods of Malate, Ermeta, etc have a lot to do and I go there a lot. Lastly, the areas along Pasig River are very interesting.

Lovely young man:Many people coming to the Philippines need honest drivers and to lead them through the work that needs to be done. Can you organize some young guys to do these jobs. The boys can make a reasonable amount of money and the Americans can live in the Philippines without worrying about so much .Praying for you since ...

When I used to make my business trips to Manila i stayed in Makati. I am now retired but always thought who can live in these places in a country with limited resources third world even. I wonder but lots of expats on business expat contracts live there of course.

I saw a video on income and middle and upper class and so on. They said a construction worker makes about $200. Per month and a doctor about $4000.per month so you are saying a doctor can't afford to live in Makati LOL

Alright, every city has a nice area like a mid town usually but where all the cool hip spots are and where you can have a great life as a single person. Where is that in your opinion? Also, where do the expats live?

Paying a HOA as a renter is insane. You should NEVER agree with that. Only an owner of a unit should pay a HOA...... but never pay it.

I am a Fil-Am based in Las Vegas and Makati. I am "retired" and I've traveled all over the world. The Philippines is the "best kept secret" retirement destination especially for Fil-Ams or former Filipinos. The cost-benefit ratio is so good. $5,500/mo budget in Manila is way more than enough. $5,500/mo in LA or San Fran (I lived in San Fran and LA many years, still have houses in both cities), is not enough and you will deal with high crime, homelessness, woke mentality, anti-Asian hate, discrimination, lack of law enforcement, defunded police, stupid DA policies, they favor the criminals rather than the law-abiding citizens, they are SANCTUARY cities for illegals, etc etc etc ... RETIRE IN PHILIPPINES NOW!!!

I'd like to live in or near Makati city but no I won't rent there. Man I'd rather just live in my province area and order off shopee and Lazada with all that money you need to live in Makati I have a basketball court so I'm good but I do enjoy going to the malls and arcades

Hopefully Makati residents are making $200k a year income. That’s the average income in the U.S. for areas with those housing prices. Anything less is a low standard of living.

@@sentinel80I don’t think we have the same standards of living when COL is $4000 - $6000 / mo. as the last part of the video suggests. I expect to have other expenses outside of COL such as travel, medical and large purchases.
