Excellent video. NASCAR is still much less expensive than any other ultimate level sports franchise. NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB teams cost several billion dollars to buy.

Dale Jr and his sister Kelly CAN afford to sponsor a Cup team, they just can't be guaranteed that the price of the charter won't drop in 7 years when the NASCAR tv deal is up. They are NOT willing to take the chance of losing all that money. That is what Kelly said in a recent interview.

I would like the Charter system if NASCAR was a proper sports league with franchises, and not still technically a family business with a poor money-dispersal model. The initial buy-in should almost inherently pay for itself, unless you wreck every other race or something

A number of years ago an accountant for Hendrick’s told me figure 600,000 per car per race!!! That covers everything $ Then they told me it’s quicker to pile the money 💰 on your kitchen table and light it on fire 🔥!!!!

Nascar dictates the charters and prices,of course, its also why the stands are half full at best

Charter prices are negotiated by the seller and buyer. NASCAR has nothing to do with it. Crowds are noticeably bigger, TV ratings are going up and they just signed a $7.7 billion media rights deal.

since less and less people watching due to no interest in racers just cry babies crying they get wrecked all while they wrecking other people used to get tickets every year now don't even watch on tv i would say their pay will drop due to lack of interest.
