My cam follower was changed at 92k, had a small bit of wear in the middle but was changed along with the thermostat. Had a drive shaft break so that was fixed with a service costing almost £700. Its on 110k now and I think it needs a new brake caliper, so the pair will get changed soon. The car still used the 1 litre per 1000km but if you add Forte Oil Fortifier the synthetic one it barely uses oil. Its worth pointing out that anyone looking to buy one of these, its more than likely going to need an new clutch and flywheel. Flywheels are around £700 for an OEM one. But you can get single mass billet ones for £330. And if it need a new battery, use and engine crane or something to change it or you risk hurting your back. Why would anyone think the battery in the middle under the windscreen is a good idea? 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for watching and leaving some helpful advice! 🙏🏼 I will try the oil fortifier and ps I had all my brake discs and pads changed, parts were about £300/350 all in and changed them myself.

Nice video, I have A4 B7 Quattro, do you know if this Haldex system or just 4wd and does it need service or lifetime?

Thanks, I believe the Quattro on the A4 is a Torsten set up with permanent AWD. Ideally you should get the gearbox and rear diff oil changed every 5 years/80k miles.

You can check it yourself it’s pretty straight forward, locate the high pressure fuel pump and unscrew the top bolt then remove the cam follower and check the top Teflon layer for wear and replace if required.

Worth every penny! Nice bit of power increase (40-50bhp), power delivery is very linear anything from 2.5k revs and eliminates the flat spots in the Rev range. Reliability wise, never had any issues and did 30k miles. Thank you for taking the time to watch my content and leave a comment 🙏🏼

What’s it like on fuel

I was averaging around 30-35mpg with mixed driving but you can get nearly 40 if you do a lot of motorway miles which I think is very impressive for the performance you get.
