Thanks Chinedu!! With a number of countries (U.K. included) Israel allows visa free travel for up to 90 days, so no formal visa application process in my case. It is definitely worth bringing information about hotel reservations, health insurance, onward travel etc in case you’re questioned.

Once upon a time Israel was travellers friendly but not anymore. It is now a bit like silicon valley + the diamond traders. I did work in Israel before the turn of this millenium Everything was easy goin' ✴ now it's a bit ruff ruff

I was about to visit Tel Aviv with some friends, until we found out it was actually hella expensive haha. Jordan is a great alternative! Also: What kind of work do you do? Cheers!
