Hello ! Thank you for your website and testimony/advises ! I was born with strabismus and I just turnt 28 years old. I can't stand it anymore, but I'm scared of surgery, do you think just with VR I can fix it ? I can kind of control my right eye to get closer to where my left eye is looking but when I try to equally look with both it's impossible to combine the 2 images. I have almost perfect vision with both eyes (0.25)

It is definitely worth a try. Some people have success without surgery, others don't. It really is an individual things.

Hi Is that true that the strabismus surgery is cosmetic surgery? because it won’t fix the vision so it means the insurance won’t cover it? My strabismus is caused by virus or infection since I was a kid so it caused my left eye’s vision blurry so even if I do the strabismus surgery it won’t fix the vision but will straight my eyes so insurance won’t cover it. Plz answer my question thx

HI, just needed some information if you can help. So, I was born with amblyopia, affecting my right eye, and had it my entire life. I've worn prescription glasses so that helped my vision. Would strabismus surgery improve my condition or even work for me? My right eye turns outwards. I can see fine except for reading unless the words are enlarged greatly but even then there are "black floaters" or poor image of letters.

Surgery success rates are not as high for people with amblyopia, but I believe they are still around 60% success. I would think trying vision therapy first to strengthen the weak eye might improve that success rate.

Depending on the severity of the turn, they say about 75%-85% for your diagnosis. There are more factors though.

Hey I live in south Florida . I am a 37 year old with extropia. I also have ptosis. I saw a dr for the ptosis who said I should get the strabismus fixed first. I had strabismus surgery at age 3. I have an appt Friday 3/11 with a eye Dr who specializes in strabismus. He is not on my plan unfortunately so I will pay for the out of pocket copay(to be seen) As for the surgery I am hoping he could do it. The surgery center where he does the surgery at is on my plan. Please cross your fingers that I can get this surgery as I won’t be able to get the ptosis fixed until I get this done

Good luck! Many times you can still get the surgery covered with someone out of network if you can get a referral from your in-network doctor that says you need to go there.

@@strabismustostereopsis7799 hey I actually just commented on your other videos lol. I saw the dr today and he is going to be doing the surgery with adjustable sutures. The surgery center is on my plan. Dr doesn’t charge much for the surgery either.
