Inflation is world wide. Ukraine is in a unique and unfortunate position where poverty has sky-rocketed due to the war. Ukraine seems to be using their incoming funds well to make sure prices are affordable. Any other position towards their economy would be cruel. Comparing our prices to Ukraine might cause a knee-jerk reaction to say something it wrong, but it's not. Keeping people fed first and foremost is the hardest job of any economy.... Ukraine is going to need constant subsidies after, if, and when this war ends.

Thanks for sharing!! The prices in North Carolina continue to go up in price…though we probably buy things that we really don’t need. Extra to pack lunches for my granddaughters to take to school. It’s most likely cheaper to buy the school lunches, but they like to pack. We don’t always cook evening meals, I’m a nurse and work night shift. But we usually spend around 200.00 every couple of weeks. Sometimes more or less. Not counting $ spend eating out. One of my granddaughters plays club and school soccer so they are on the road a lot, sometimes it’s just easier to grab something on the way home. Well, sorry for being long winded. Hope y’all continue to be safe!! I’ve enjoyed your videos and look forward to them!! Much love from North Carolina ❤️

We have had massive inflation in Canada 🇨🇦 too. Food has always been quite expensive here, but now it’s crazy. The groceries in your video would cost me about $100 or more 🤦‍♀️. The biggest grocery store chain in Canada showed major profits this past year, so the people are not happy! The president of the company stepped down from his position a few weeks ago after banking a $1,000,000 pay raise. With that said.. I have no reason to rant really. I don’t have war on my doorstep. When I compare what an amercian earns per month and what one gallon of milk costs and what you pay for dozen of eggs its peanuts. If an awerage US sallary would be 4000 USD per month then dozen eggs cost where I live $12, so your grocceries are quite cheap compared to east Europe.
@81OH4Z4RD
@81OH4Z4RD Жыл бұрын
@@retkvi average salaries are a poor indicator of average wealth in the US, where the bottom half of the population lives on less than 3% of the nation's wealth. Many in the US are rich, but many many many more live in poverty. One NFL player or executive making $10 million per year and 249 people making $0 per year averages to $40k per year, but it's a very inaccurate representation of those 249.

@@81OH4Z4RD Thats wery crooked exaple that you presented. Normally when you go outisde and work, you have a perception what people earn around you so you have a good idea what it is, not imaginary perceptions of people earning nothing and people earning fortunes and making conclusions of it and generalizing. So if we could say when I work in the US I could earn nothing, but then I would be homeless and everyone in his shoes in the world, but normally there live people who work and they got their pay, and if you work in the US, that pay will wary grately, but its much higher then in the rest of the world, but the prices of goods like electronics and food are way affordable for them with those sallaries then in other countries in the world compared wit their income, just wanted to point it out, so it is a foolish misconception of americans that their gas, or groceries are pricy when in comparison to the pay of other working people in the worl they are not.

Good morning from Canada! I shopped at an online grocery service (which is more expensive) and your grocery list came to $142.11 CAD ($104.05 USD) !!! I bought similar sizes. Prices are up everywhere. Ask Luba to do a cooking show for me!

@@Aleksa_Lomako HA! I wish! We are on the east side of Toronto so no quick trips to the neighbours for us. I wish we had more options.

I worked it out that in New Zealand we would pay 2594.53 UAH with the difference being 1257.26 UAH with your groceries, so we pay a lot more for our food here

New Zealand too expensive country even with comparison of EU countries - there is no any sense to compare NZ and Ukraine. It's like compare pony with elephant

I enjoy your videos. I was once talking with a girl from Poltava once a long time ago. I think it was one of those love dating scams but I played along and asked them what is so great about Poltava or unique and they say "We have a White House!" I said bulls*t, but I looked it up and was surprised to see that Poltava does indeed have a little "White House" in the city. So I was very excited and sad (for the dark streets and shops) to see last December-January when you and Luba took a night walk to downtown Poltava and the Apteka (pharmacy market). Sad because many shops were not lighted because of the war attacks on the the power plants. I did see that the women's clothes/lingerie shop had its full lights on somehow, lol. Know that you have support from at least one farming community here in the US. People growing sunflowers and someone has a Ukraine flag on their house in my small farm town in central US.

Pavlo Very informative video on the cost of groceries in Ukraine. I would say that here in Canada food prices are noticeably higher. The groceries that you bought would cost about 50 percent more here in Canada. You both did very well!! Regards Jennifer and Duncan from Canada
