You have to share the profits with the business your machine is at and pay utility and security fees on top of the hosting fee. So, you make about 60 cents on a dollar.

@PraiseForblu You definitely need insurance regardless, license depends on locality. There are places that won't charge you to put a vending machine in - generally places that don't have anything and want it. Hospitals, anywhere that has nurses really, offices (check smaller offices, often bigger ones will already make deals to put vending machines in).

@EvzenEmanuel2 жыл бұрын
It's because cash counter machines at the end of the video don't need to verify the bills. They even don't check their value. They just count number of the bills inserted. Vending machines on the other hand have to check the value and validity of the bills inserted. Otherwise you could just feed them with counterfeit bills.

I've always wondered that too. I want to know how much money these things make in straight _profit_ after subtracting the cost of products, operating costs, machine upkeep/repairs, and the cost of the machines themselves. Also "rent" or whatever they call the money paid to the business to allow them to keep their machines there.
@bladekhaira2 жыл бұрын
i believe the machine cost anywhere from USD5k to 8k..from where i come from atleast..profit margin is really low..around 0.1%..not forgetting rental for spots to place the machine and also maintenance..i believe long term with many machines its a good investment..
@gladitsnotme2 жыл бұрын
Laundromats never made anybody a millionaire, let's just put it that way. The dang things break and need maintenance all the time, it must be staffed 24/7, and leasing a retail space that allows baskets to be wheeled out to people's cars is expensive.

@@maxsnow9952 Facts. I'm 34 and haven't mowed lawns for money since I was a teenager, but last summer I needed money so I was like, why not give that a shot again? So I typed up a page,made about 80-100 copies and went around the neighborhood placing them on mailboxes, entrances to every business, light poles at all crosswalks etc. etc. Man, worked like a charm bro. I made my price so low that if they didn't want to mow it themselves that, they couldn't pass up the deal. $4 front yard $4 backyard $2 edging $2 cleanup $2 pick up dog poop So if they had a dog, which most did, they end up paying $14 MINIMUM! and sometimes they just throw the $20 and say keep the change. But most people don't want to work that hard, some would rather scam on KZfaq for $5 and hour 🤨😑😒🙄

How do you set it up with the power source needed? Asking in assumption the locations for the vending machines are not owned by you as well. Ive always wondered how vending machine owners work out a means of powering the soda machines outside of a grocery store like ralphs, and vons and such.

Probably an agreement with the owners

he owns the laundromat too, but usually it's an agreement with the building owner. I used to run a few vending machines and I'd have to make a contract with the owner to give them a certain portion of the profit

@S.P GOTTA HAVE IT from what I understand, no, you don’t need an LLC or anything. For my first machine I’ve been looking online Craigslist and eBay. So yes, I do believe anyone can just purchase one. It does seem that most people make some sort of contract with the building owner in regards of a fee.

The question of needing a license or permit is determined by the laws in the area in question, some require a permit to hold a yard sale , in some areas you can't have a yard sale at all . If you live in a HOA you might be required to have a stor from at a different location to operate out of because of HOA rules not allowing any form of business to exist within the HOA boundaries making working from home a violation. Before you invest your money you need to check all the laws in your area that might apply, a good place to start mite be the Better Business Bureau if one exists in your area .

Man, I want to buy a vending machine now. Lmao. It seems like a smart investment. Soda is rather cheap. Especially if you go to Walgreens. My store sells 12 packs 3 for $12.99. If I could buy a vending machine and set it up in a high traffic area, I could make my money back and then some.

Just seeing little angles of your laundromat and how clean and squared away it looks tells me that there are still PROFESSIONALS like yourself exist! I've been going to this one laundromat for about 13 years now and I can't tell you what a total abysmal disappointment this dude's business is. I remember he put new tiles on the floor around 7th year of going there and he didn't bother to put any kind of sealant. Dirt, blackened floors, and debris, He also has mice that come out and go through the cracks he has on the walls. But, hey! at least he drives a Mercedes! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
