Mane is an absolute beast. Anyone saying Liverpool's decline isn't cause of him leaving is either delusional or just too stubborn to accept the fault of Liverpool management. Mane attacks, Mane presses, Mane defends, Mane assists and then Mane also scores. Look at the intensity he brings to the game. He catches so many defenders and goal keepers offguard. I still couldn't believe Mane was leaving cause Liverpool wouldn't offer him a good salary structure. Absolutely horrific business.

Mane had 2 assists in the league last season and didn’t create that much either. He’s very overrated. Liverpool’s biggest problem is their midfield.

if you insert a top form Wijnaldum, Thiago, Fabinho and top form Henderson in Liverpool's midfield right now, they would not miss Mane with current attackers at their disposal. However, If you insert Mane in this current Liverpool team, they would struggle because the current midfield is even worse than last season. End of discussion.

Liverpool were 2nd last year with Thiago. He was exceptional at times last year, especially towards the end. This year he's been one of the better players. Just say you don't like his style but he's definitely not the problem

Without the 3 midfield engines that used to cover for Trent bombing forward as well as Robertson, created for Mane and Salah, won duels, bully teams, key interceptions to rapidly ignite attacks, on and ON..., is significantly more important. I've always maintain that it's a combination of everything, but the 3 midified engine is the bigger issue.

Mane didn't just add goals, he brought pressing, defensive cover, assists and a threat in behind as well as able to drop in midfield to help build up play..... His absence is a big miss whether they want to admit it or not. Klopp now has to show how good of a manager these pundits claims he is and so far he looks to be failing in that department.

Mane was basically the glue, he was great at attacking and he will always track back to defend ,unlike Salah and to a greater extent Trent ( as he is supposed to be a defender)Therefore Mane was playing 2 positions and doing a great job at it.Alas Klopp and Liverpool undervalued and underpaid him.Therefore no brainer that he left.

Mane is an all round typical Klopp type of player. He assists, he scores, he presses aggressively and does a lot of defensive work as well. This combination of attributes seems to be missing in Liverpool at the moment.

Mane was a very critical part of that red winning machine of previous years.. yes.. ability wise u can find many better.. but for pure grit.. determination and intensity.. he was such a big part of the pie.. having mane relieved pressure from midfield which in turn relieved pressure on the defence which also relieves pressure on the GK.. the defence started from the front.. no one was able to replace the running and pressuring of mane in liverpool today.. fact..

As an Arsenal fan, it was Mane that i feared. As a former footballer, I can realize that his style of play is totally disruptive to a defense. Mane keeps you on the backfoot all Game long and his workrate benefited that whole team. He was taken for granted.

IMO what is happening to liverpool is the same as what happened in Dortmund. Kloop was able to do 2 things when he arrived, he was able to inspire and also push the players the extra mile, however both of those elements are temporary at one point they will come back to a standard level of professionals (dont forget everyone in the EPL more or less are elite players) and that is exactly what is happening now. Add in a side which lags depth outside the starting 11 and crucial players in midfield not being replaced you will definately have a lower output.

I think Martinez will be found out more by other teams and then they will start to exploit his two weaknesses mentioned. If Martinez doesn't adjust his game more to that, he will not be as strong as he is for us now. He clearly over commits and tackles way to much and that is soon going to cost him and us. He has a red card waiting for him just around the corner and he will for sure cost us penalties if he doesn't calm down a bit. And even if he can jump rather high, he still can't jump that high and that can very well be exploited. Specially if he plays together with Lindelof that can't cover him like Varane can when it comes to high crosses. And we all know how glued to his line de Gea is.

Yeah hes just totally downplaying the loss for whatever reason. Just like Bayern tried to downplay the loss of Lewandowski. But look how theyre an UTTER beast with Chupo Moting. Played 7 games or so, scored in EVERY SINGLE one...Bayern just needed a player like that. Mane was THAT for Liverpool. Because hes a work horse...holding the seams together in the back where nobody realizes or looks. SO MANY of these players in football get totally F'ed up the river tass because they work for the team, instead of relying on it. And salah is that exact pendant to mane. Mane is the worker, Salah the profiter. Buffed up work horse that carries the team, running from goal to goal for 90 minutes straight. But get overlooked cause they only get so many goals, trying to put others in the position to score. Its a disgusting practice still going on in 2022 and it shames my heart :( Because of this players that deserve Ballon dors have not even been on the list for decades. Do you know how many defenders ever won a ballon dor?...yeah...exactly. its lewandowksi or benzema...says everything really. I mean the reality its 2022 and muller is 34 and has yet to even get second or so in the Ballon Dor...is a disgrace. He won more than messi...and still is considered to be inferior. Even though he literally ripped through Messi's Barca multiple times in his career. Won a world cup, TWO TREBLES...TWO. The acheivements of players like him just fall on deaf ears because...mane is AT BEST the difference between 10th and 7th place in the league. Dont forget..stewie said it. SO it MUST be true....

Yes, it is. Mane workrate is 2nd to none. Alexander Arnold won't be as exposed as he js now. When the width is strongly defended then u can focus more on attack. The issue is the defense.

Fabinho struggles this season is a bigger factor along with the fact Henderson and Thiago struggle to play a full 90 minutes consistently than missing Mane. Rotating the squad hasn’t been easy with Jones, Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain injured leaving inexperienced youngster Carvalho and Elliott.

Dan : got a point Benzema for example take him out Real Madrid there not the same team that's the effect top players have Mane ,is one the best presser and everyone know you defend from the front and know 1 did that better than Liverpool.
