Topper Harley sucks he didn’t build the new ones. As if the GT350’s weren’t unreliable enough, the GT500’s are coming out of the showroom with problems. But the 500’s have the excuse of people not listening to the dealer. But GT350’s 😅😬😬

Why would it need the engine rebuilt? These things are stout as hell. I've seen many go well beyond 100k making 700+ to the tires and being driven hard. It isn't hard to see a stock one going 180k maintained well. Nothing shocking here other than the fact it's a gt500 that actually has miles on it lol. Not because they aren't reliable because 99% of their owners waste them away in garages and thus have low miles.

Yea they make the same peak hp but look at the torque curve on this beast its a totally different animal. They also normally dont make those numbers without a few bolt ons and an e85 tune whereas this is a bone stock car with a driveline that dates back to 07. Theres room to squeeze another 100+ whp out of this with bolt ons while still being on pump gas. The new gt is impressive and has alot of tech to allow it to make the power it does plus 12:1 compression and dual fual along with variable cam timing etc. Its just different ways to make power this car has a small blower on it stock with restrictive exhaust and like 8.4:1 compression so its a totally different way to make power.

@@jrforsythe4144 i agree for the money they are. Obviously id take a 13 if price was equal but it isn't theyre on average 10-15k more and with the stupid gearing the 13s have theyre not even that much quicker for the power they make. Put the same blower on both cars and power is comparable.

Don’t know why I’m obsessed with stock dyno numbers. This one is really special, nobody has 200,000 miles on a Shelby. Most owners preserve these cars.

This makes me feel nice knowing the there is still some quality being built out of Detroit, take a car from the 60-70 era you would have had to rebuild everything twice. By the way I have a 2013 race red and plan on keeping mine forever.

It could be argued, a classic in new condition would have fewer problems vs a new gt500 etc. Newer is better, but not always more reliable (more features= more to break).

Idk new or old what I do know is a '67 that breaks down on the side of the road can be fixed in 20 min with basic tools as opposed to any new car

@@midnight347 well, I sold the car about 8 months at 168k miles on it. Got a 2011 ford Lariat limited with a 6.2L V8 fully loaded 4x4 and love the truck. Also have 2 kids both under 3 years old. Was a great car but I outgrew it.
