I sell cars for a living, and I watch this guy’s videos to learn and prepare for people that’ve done their homework. Whenever I come across a person like him, I wouldn’t even haggle at all. This guy’s going to get what he wants, let’s not waste each other’s times and let’s just get the sale done. I get a sale, you get the you want. Simple.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! Anyone else watching if you follow what he says, it works. I walked away from a couple dealerships only to go back a couple of times more. I travelled out of state too and pit dealerships against each other. I asked for OTD price upfront which cut out wasted time. When talking to the next dealer, I had a price to beat. Then, when it slowed down, I email three of the last dealership, sent out my quoted price and asked if anyone could beat it. Crickets. Then I put my down payment. Took about three weeks. I kept getting offers to match but nothing that beat. My response was that it didn’t really benefit me to renig without them coming down on the price.

The key as you said and most don't do is shop multiple dealers.....this takes time and work, peeps are so frustrated starting the process they would rather just pay more and get it over with.... I've done this buying multiple trucks and it works everytime....there is always a deal to be had somewhere

Good News! I got a 2019 Toyota RAV4 for 29900 OTD. I think this is a good price. No other dealership could beat it. It got the weather and convenience package, Entune Audio Plus, remote start, roof rack. The car listed at 34K. I couldn’t use the military “discount” because I didnt finance with Toyota. Otherwise, it wouldn’t been 29400. Drove to Philly from MA for the holiday and used the LDA (which helped when I got tired). Runs like a dream. Doors seem hard to close though. Have to make several attempts.

Hi Ari! Great channel! Wife and I are close to squeezing the trigger after about a month of research. We have found the car... 2019, 9,200mi, was dealer-owned and used by them as a loaner for customers who were getting their cars fixed. The question... Would "holdback" still be in play as they basically bought their own car? Meaning, is it realistic to go after a number that would be: Invoice - Holdback - Floorplan - Milage - 'end of month' numbers push - 'end of year' (get it off the lot) push

The manufacturer gives a dealer a new 2020 Jeep Compass, for $15,000 the dealer sells it for $25,000. that how it works. the dealer dont get the Jeep for $20 thousand and sell it for $25,000. the higher the dealer can stick it to you as the buyer the more money they make. there are not RULES on the car industry. its RAPE,RIP OFF left or right.

If you do the .01 monthly payment with .05 down payment when financing how can that work? Because for example on a 45k msrp it would mean you're asking for a 450$ monthly with 2,250$ down-payment. But even if you stretch it to 72months worth of payments at .01.. that's only totaling 32,400. You still owe about 10k..I don't get it.

People are always so worried about getting the best price, what about the best quality? What about a certified pre owned? You do not always have access to 2-3 Toyota or Honda dealers and you are going to spend more time, more headache and more in gas trying to save an extra $500 on a $30k car than what it is worth.

Great videos, thanks. I have 3 questions though. 1) We're coming to the end of the year. I know it's better to buy at the end of the month. Are there any advantages to wait until the end of December to buy rather than the end of November? In other words, do dealers have yearly quotas such that they may be even more motivated at the end of December if they haven't met those quotas. 2) With the popularity of compact suv's are you more likely to get a better deal on a sedan rather that an Equinox or Rogue, etc? 3) Are extended warranties really worth it? Is their price negotiable?
@im_cart8656
@im_cart8656 4 жыл бұрын
i sell cars. answer is no, end of year "sales" starts in november.. in terms of getting a good deal for the sort of vehicles you described just email several dealerships that you want stock # at invoice minus w/e rebates are going on from manufacturer, 1 or more will agree. extended warranties are bs except for maybe diesel truck but just say no to everything in finance besides gap insurance. you can get vehicles at invoice on new year models too if they have been out for a few months. most dealerships are unit based and not trying to gouge you, which is no way to live as a salesperson. too ez

Isaiah Ingram I sell Chrysler’s, since they are brand new you will be lucky if you pay sticker price, I don’t know where in the country you live. If you have a very slow demand for them you might get lucky. But in general. Be happy with any rebates that are offered

Yes... this rule of thumb is specifically only for a traditional 36 month common 10-12k lease.

why is it that we HAVE to negotiate buying a car??They are sold everywhere..THERE SHOULD be a FIXED price per specifications with NO HAGGLING.!! there should be a fixed margin profit..most money is made on servicing. Bad haggling will lose service!

Looking to by a new SUV and have a question on the 7-10% starting target. I am looking at SUVs online and it has the "MSRP price" for example at $45k, but then has an "Internet Price" of $39.5k. Do I take the 7-10% from the internet price before I go into the dealership as my target price? Thank and videos are very helpful.
@SeriouslyAutomotive
@SeriouslyAutomotive 4 жыл бұрын
Mack P I sell cars for a living, something to keep in mind with that. Internet pricing is usually the modern day bait and switch. That includes all rebates plus employee pricing. If you do not qualify for some of those then the price is going to go up. And no, they will not honor that price for everyone

Question for you! So Ram has a good deal going on now with giving everyone employees pricing. It’s a great deal the msrp is dropping about 9K on Rams 1500. With that in mind if a dealer is listing a 48k msrp Ram 1500 after the deal, could you still go after that 7%-10% off msrp you talk about on the video? You mention that’s the 1st discount we should look at, and that we could combine that first discount plus any incentives. Or is it safe to say no that’s already good enough they won’t go any lower. Will appreciate an answer. Btw your videos are amazing, is great to know there’s people out there still trying to help us ignorants on the topic. Thank you Sir.

Hey Ari i'm trying to buy a 2019 Nissan Frontier SV king cab truck. The MSRP is $27835, with a Nissan Rebate of 4750 = $22635 total. Currently thinking of trying to demand a $1000 discount from the dealer. That is less than the 7-8% you recommended to obtain in the video. Any ideas if i should try and squeeze more or unrealistic?
