I'm 34 and have been an addict since High School. Even though it ruined every job and relationship I ever had, it didn't even register I was an addict until I was 30 when one day I thought, "Hmm, I've been drunk or high every single day for over a decade." Then COVID hit and Meth and I became best buds. Been clean from the bad bad drugs for a year on Nov 28 and have finally strung together 7 days without smoking weed or drinking. Unfortunately there's nobody in my life left to share that with so I'll share it here. Appreciate the videos. Edit: Everyone in the comments telling me I'm doing great or similar, and I appreciate that immensely actually... but started smoking weed daily again. I lasted a couple weeks and was feeling a lot better, but was also incredibly bored and lonely. And oh god the nightmares and crazy-ass dreams... The struggle is staying sober long enough to fill my life with things that are worthwhile I guess. Idk, thanks for the kind words though everyone.

Drugs ruined my life. I lost 6 friends in 2020-21 alone to overdoses. And May 18th this year my fiance passed away at 22. I was gonna spend the rest of my life with her. Im 100 days sober. But I have noone. Im really hoping people don't wanna try new drugs because of your videos, because you are attempting the opposite. Once you are an addict, you always are, you just gotta be a sober one. Gonna keep this one short, much love to you all and good luck.

Yeah I agree that alot of people you meet on that scene are really just acquaintances instead of friends, but not all of them. I don't think it's fair to say that they don't care about you because they don't check up on you, considering that most people aren't as lucky as goblin and don't end up getting sober. So for some of them I don't think it's that they don't care, rather that they're just too busy with their own addictions and trying to stay well. Also from my own experience I've realized some might not be contacting you because they are trying to think about what's best for you, if they know you're trying to be sober and they are still using, then they might not contact you for fear of being a negative influence.

the last point is 100% true and im so glad you mentioned it. The amount of people you think you're friends with but would not do shit for you if you can't get them intoxicated is insane, and a lot of the time you're so lonely you don't care cause a lot of the genuine people don't understand addicts and write them off, which just contributes to your drug problem which you use to cover the symptoms that loneliness causes like anxiety depression ex. You can see the growth in you from your 2016 videos till now its so good to see, you're definitely helping the teenage drug epidemic much more i'd say than any school or government program ever could cause you know what you're talking about you experienced it first-hand and people relate. love when you upload something like this to remind people its not all fun and games its awesome bro.

When I was still going through addiction (cocaine and alch), I saw this video of this woman who talking in sign language about how we don't treat drug abuse realistically. "Drugs are fun until they are not" was what she said, and that stuck with me because it was getting to the point where it wasn't getting fun. Making sacrifices in my financial security for a tiny bag of coke that would last 6 hours just to buy some more and throw it up, going to the store at 8 am just to get a 40, 3 shots, and a pint of Ta'kas, ruining my relationships with my mom, my friends and my family because I thought I had the right to pity myself because life didn't go my way, especially after corona. It wasn't until my grandma saw me and asked me if I needed help when I realized I was more fucked up than I thought. Long story short, ended up going to rehab with my families support (which I am very blessed and privileged to have those resources to do so, and my heart goes out to the addict that doesn't) and am currently 1.5 years clean from coke, 7 months on drinking. I appreciate you telling your story and starting it off by bringing up how you mentioned in your past and how you don't want viewers to be impressionable, because while I don't wanna take away from personal responsibility, a lot of younger people who are impressionable don't really take into consideration how harmful the lifestyle they wanna live is harmful, and when you're around an environment that promotes that behavior, it can/will go downhill quickly, so thank you again.

It’s nice to see someone bring attention to this issue. I know I was stuck in the same cycle all through high school. They always say don’t do drugs but they never teach you what to do if you do try drugs. They tell you that drugs make you go crazy and your teeth will fall out but that didn’t happen. I felt fkn great so I think bringing attention to how great they can make you feel at first is just as important as all the negatives

Go watch some Andrew Tate videos, he completely reshaped my mindset, I still dable in various drugs from time to time, but I don’t feel the need for them anymore. If your whole family didn’t die in a car crash today, then you are happy, if you’re not absolutely distraught and your whole world hasn’t come crumbling down, then you have no reason to be sad. When you reframe your mind like this, being alive is a high in and of itself, and once you understand this you can still do drugs responsibly in order to boost the high life already gives you
@RH-th1zu

Also the biggest lie we are told is that the purpose of life is to be happy, many people use drugs as the vehicle to happiness. The purpose of life is to experience life, nothing else. Be content with the fact that you’re here experiencing life. There is no light without dark, no joy without pain, no warmth without cold, and no rainbow without rain, so we must learn to live with the painful days that might last for months or even years. But eventually it will pass as all storms do. There’s an old story of mighty oak tree that endured the blistering winds and the freezing rain, but he was unfazed for experience had taught him that sunny days always come, in the end

Starting at 12 with alcohol and weed, 13 crack coanie, vocoder, percocet, Lsd, shrooms, addiction has seemingly been apart of my life since elementary school days. It stems from Extreme trauma. Sexual abuse/rape/molestation as a young child. Witnessing 2 murders growing up in Detroit Michigan. Parents who beat each other bloody. I've never learned to deal with anything.....I use drugs to regulate my emotions. I've buried over 50 friends and loved ones and family members in the past 2 decades....I've got survivors guilt.....out of my group of friends I'm really the ONLY ONE left.....and I still can't stop.

The answer you're looking for is the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus expected me to quit weed and he helped me out by taking that addiction away. Getting to know God and doing the work he has for us here is the true purpose of life in my opinion. If you would like to receive salvation, you should pray to God and repent and turn away from your sins and believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for your sins. When you sincerely repent and believe, you will receive the Holy Spirit and he will help you to kick these habits, you don't need to be perfect when you come to him. It sounds like you've struggled a lot and I hope that you will find peace in the Lord. God bless you.

Props to Goblin to talking about the dark side of drug use. 👏 It's easy to laugh and remember good times you and others have had on a substance but it's so important to remind people, especially younger people getting into the world of exploring substances, that it can EASILY take a toll on your life in ways the drugs make it hard to see sometimes.

A thought I had the other day that I found kinda interesting was, "A danger of enjoying drugs is that you'll often find yourself surrounded by people who don't actually interest you, doing things that aren't actually that fun or what you even want to be doing, but you'll think it's amazing because you're being stimulated by a substance. Then when you think back at all the memories you have with your 'friends' you realize that you never actually did anything of any significance or that you can really be proud of." Since having that thought I have been trying to focus on stimulating myself by doing stuff that actually interests me and making missions that will become stories I'm proud of one day and using substances to enhance already enjoyable experiences as apposed to relying on them to make the experiences enjoyable. (I obviously realize Goblin has done some crazy shit and has many stories as a result, but I think a lot of people who watch his content might be able to relate to this)

To me drugs are amazing and terrifying. They open up a world you'd never imagine and create amazing ties with friends that will stick with you through mud and blood. At the same time, they give you a peek into the dark underbelly of society, you see the worst type of people, people that would take another's life for a needle in the arm, people who'd point a gun at you over 1/8th of a plant. Those kind of people. My stories are unimportant but my underlying message is this, there is a difference between controlled drug use, and uncontrolled drug abuse. Once you fall into the latter, it's a rocky rocky slope back up. Research what you're doing before you do it, never forget your humanity and values along the ride, and most importantly: STAY HYDRATED.

I've never watched your videos but we have some eerily similar experiences, and I can wholly relate to the last parts of this video in which you mention you realize how f'ing stupid drugs really are. I would never wish drug addiction on my worst enemy. Although 'weed' will never kill you, and while weed isn't necessarily a gateway drug, it's definitely an appetizer of a drug for people like me with curious personality and the willingness to go the extra mile for some social validation, eventually leading you down a path to trying other drugs. This is where they really getcha, and this is where you have the potential to try drugs that WILL get you addicted if you're predisposed to addictive personality traits/have addiction in your family. All I hope is that one young person sees this, and sees a little bit of this in themselves. If you feel like you have a lot of 'friends' but still don't quite 'fit in', you're probably selling yourself short and hanging out with the wrong crowd for social validation. The best thing you can do for your future is realize you're much stronger, and worth much more than your fake friends will ever tell you. Find people you truly connect with, regardless of their social status. It will do you wonders in life.

I seriously respect how real you keep it in your videos. Unfortunately, I related a lot to what you said here, especially the sinkhole that is addiction. But it’s something more people need to talk about, most addicts are regular people with functional lives and before you know it, you’re living your life high all the time. The amount of times I have sold my stuff, stolen, and robbed just to get some weed and alcohol is something that still haunts me today. I had no money, no ambition, and my life felt so mediocre I felt as if I needed to drown it all out. I’m no saint, I have a med card and still smoke once daily, but I consider myself lucky that I pulled myself out of poly drug use without rehab using therapy. It’s no way to live your life, and I’m thankful you are telling your story.

Still smoking and the occasional drink or trip there. The information in this video though is 100% correct. The life of an addict is terrible and you lose many people through it. Including family and friends, some will turn their back on you and others can stay in that life forever. If you or someone you are close with needs help reach out. It never hurts to talk and get those feelings out with another person. The escape drugs provide only makes it worse and pushes things deeper and deeper till you are completely lost. I really appreciate this video bro, I’ve been watching your videos since highschool (approx. 7-8 years). Always felt like my walk with drugs was similar to yours, having tried the same stuff here and there never getting tied to a single drug for very long besides coke, but just freely experimenting with almost everything just for the adventure out of boredom as a teen. Normally coming back across your channel to reminisce on experiences/to hear your perspective on shit I’ve tried/planned on trying. But 3 years ago almost 4 I started experimenting with pain pills (having first tried them 6-7 years ago) and quickly diving harder into fentanyl innocently when the Oxys weren’t doing the job anymore. Long story short: I just recently went through treatment after my kidneys failed following 3 years of using enough fentanyl to kill 20 people daily and about 1 year of using a gram-teen of coke daily alongside the fentanyl pressed perc 30s. And today, I’m 8 weeks clean. It was just refreshing to hear you briefly speak on this after almost a decade of my walk with addiction, having heard so many of your stories throughout the years. To anyone who would trash you for “glorifying use”, I totally relate with the fact that the addiction glorifies itself with all the moments that are worth telling stories about, but the addiction does just as strong a job at creating story worthy moments of hardship and costs that demonstrate the dark side of isolation, loss of friends, deteriorated relationships, loss of financial common sense, unexpected legal problems etc. Anyways it was nice to hear you touch on this at a time when I’m having to chose to deglorify drugs in my mind, and refreshing for you to make it clear to these kiddos that the fun doesn’t come without consequences
