hi luis. thanks so much for sharing your journey. it has been really helpful when i was still researching chicago and eventually moving there :D (i'm posted up in lincoln park now) definitely agree with the variety bit. target/trader joe's are my go-to but try to make the rounds for costco once a month. but still tuning in for the vids for y'all.

I miss the transit in NYC and thought when I moved to Chicago 2 years ago that it would be the same here. MAN, was I mistaken. The transit in Chicago leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately. I feel less safe on trains here than I did in NYC which is crazy.

I’m originally from the Chicago area and I just took my first trip to New York. I used the Subway to get around everywhere and I would definitely agree the NYC Subway was top notch compared to the Chicago L.

I lived in Bushwick in summer of 2022, I agree with the diversity in food options and all that. But it was so hard for me to find Filipino food or any store that sells Filipino stuffs. I had to go to Queens every once in a while to stock up on necessities. G and 7 trains were my companions haha =)
