2k's announcer uses 'Durantula' when he makes shots or assists in game. He was called Durantula back in OKC days but stopped when Nike/Durant got sued for infringement rights by a band called durantula? Or a song named durantula? (Either of the two, i forgot) durant let it go cuz he doesn't like the name, he chooses to be called "the servant" (cuz he only serve god) then the whole GSW drama started people calling him "The Serpent" instead.

Kobe got the idea of the nickname "Black Mamba" from the movie Kill Bill. He was a huge fan of martial arts movie and he was heavily inspired by the main character Beatrix "Black Mamba" Kiddo who seeks revenge on her former friends and family who attempted to murder and leave her for dead. Kobe explained in a interview how many people turned on him after a tough time in his life (Colorado incident) and people he consider like family left him and doubted his individual greatness (Shaq and Phil Jackson). So he created a mindset of getting revenge on everybody that doubted and left his NBA career for dead

The Chosen One is the best nickname of all time imo. Being called The King is also pretty dope. Another of LeBron's most well-known nicknames are The Akron Hammer and The L-Train which weren't mentioned at all. I also like Magic and Black Mamba. I know this isn't why he got the nickname but I've never particularly liked his Airness or Air Jordan. Cuz they're not playing airball and that's one of the worst things you can do on a basketball court. Shaq might have a lot of nicknames but the only one that has really stuck is The Diesel or The Big Diesel. Also Superman but that's also associated with Dwight Howard. The Truth and the Flash are pretty good nicknames. Honestly, Shaq should've saved some of those better nicknames for himself. Didn't know he came up with them. White Chocolate is also a good one. How're you gonna mention AK-47 but not also mention AR-15 for Hillbilly Kobe? It's the same concept lol. Mr. Don't Google, aka Evan Fournier, should've been included. Pretty funny nickname.
