As a thank you to everyone for supporting me during this nightmare, I’m gonna try replying to a lot more comments than usual! And I’ll pin my favorite in one week. Also, to those out of the loop, this is a reupload! If you’ve noticed any odd phrases or photos, that’s why. The main riff of Smells Like Teen Spirit was the first thing probably a million guitarists ever learned. The music video was the first time millions of people saw armpit hair on a woman wearing an anarchy tank top and something deep inside them stirred. It was also the first time millions of people ever heard the sheer power of Dave Grohl's drumming, like a triple distilled John Bonham. I was one of them and let me tell you, that video playing on MTV was a bigger deal than the fall of the berlin wall.

@MarcButEvil, the band may have brought in Andy Wallace to mix Nevermind because Andy mixed Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss (1990). The band like Nevermind when it came out, according to Butch Vig, but perhaps due to Nevermind's unexpected smash success that the band disowned the production on the album. Azzerad's book was also probably compiled during this period when the band was in the midst of major success, so their annoyance with Andy's mixing was still present, and that bias was recorded in the book as Azzerad interview the band members, so his book may not be factual in that regard

You are probably not interested or won't even read this but could you make a video on Yellowcard? I got into them a few years ago from Drew Gooden talking about them a lot and I am from Jacksonville where they are from. Anyway they have a super weird story and tons of drama. They changed their lineup like 10 times (not a single one of the founding members are still in it 😂) and sued Juice World over a bullshit copyright thing and kept suing his estate after he died. It was pretty wild. I think it would make for a good one off video like your White Stripes video. Anyways I will still be here watching all your videos. Just thinking about Yellowcard a lot lately and going to see them and Third Eye Blind next month in Jacksonville.

Oh another thing lol yah at the time dangerous only sold I think 5 to 10 million the album went on to become one the biggest selling albums of all times in fact it sold more then nevermind last I checked a few years ago it stood ar 32 million albums and gnr sold 9 million on those albums garth sold a shitload as well and Metallica black sold 20 million yes those albums are all great and there all on the top 100 of all time best sellers it was a crazy year there was never a year more competitive then 91 the world changed that year yes of course we all remember how grung took over the mainstream but there was something bigger that happened that year it was new country so old and young everyone everything changed in the mainstream it was seriously crazy I was 14 and I clearly remember
