We bought an Arrow 8x10 metal shed from Home Depot. In this video, we show you some of the struggles we had from leveling the wooden foundation that we made to shed assembly and quality.

I agree with his recap of the process. I recetly built a 10x12 framed shed from scratch, and though at the end with reinforced door, window and rafter roof, it cost me $1000+ and having never framed with 2x4, I referred to a KZfaq step by step, and it came out excellent. More recently, I thought I could just slam dunk erecting one of the 8x10 metal shets for about $600 total (including plywood and other lumber, blocks, etc.) and be done with it in a day. WHAT A F*&îng PITA! Never again, and while in the process I kept reminding myself and comparing my framed shed to this TIN Outhouse!. CHEEZY, CHEEZY construction... DON'T DO IT . buy yourself a nail guu, some 2x4's and build yourself a durable long lasting building. Or the BIG BAD WOLF gonna eventually come and BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!!! For Sure!

I have the same shed. It's about 20 years old. It's a target for someone to brake into. The doors are flimsy even if you lock it. They draw a lot of condensation because of it being metal. Get rid of any large tree's or big branches that might brake off. It doesn't take a lot to wipe out the roof.

We plan to replace it and just build a wood shed. We would never do one of these again lol

I live in northeast Wisconsin, and if I had to do it over again, I would build a shed out of wood. Our metal shed sits on a recreational property. We had to rebuild our roof because of the winter snow load, 18 inches of snow, and ice collapsed the roof. Surprisingly, the walls were good.

We are in a similar situation. Recreational use, would definitely do a wood shed next time. Our shed is in NC, not too much snowfall so our roof is ok for now. Thanks for watching!

Dude, appreciate the video, I am currently going through videos trying to decide what shed to buy and it really sounds like you get more bang for the buck by buying a metal shed and reinforcing it with a wood frame.

Well more bang for your buck is just building it out of wood. Lol the metal shed was much cheaper but so was the quality.

Also with you building wood you can use for whatever catching and plataforma for solar…

If you live in FLORIDA,this shed is not approved by the state so you CAN’T get a permit for it.

That makes sense I guess because of the hurricanes and such. We built this on our property in North Carolina, though I have my doubts about it's ability to survive a strong wind anywhere.

@@idiotsoutdoors yeah it sucks hahaha it took me like a whole week to build the shed and foundation,2 weeks later I received a letter from the county saying that the shed is not approved so I had to remove it

This shed was BS roof didn’t line up . Dented the roof and had to drill my own holes . If u have bigger hands good luck with the 1 mill tiny screw and bolts. Never again 🤦🏽‍♂️ will build out of wood next time

Can't say I disagree. Next time we'll be building out of wood as well.
