Dude takes 3 solid months off the dirt bike. 90 day detox. No more traveling wearing yourself out, you’ve lost that special feeling of when you hop on the bike and ride onto the track for the first lap. The love for it, the excitement, the confidence, the spark. It’s always great to step back and heal and grow and get back to what you love. Call it a break a reset whatever you want. But beginning of your video it just sounds like your drained and spent.

Reed was very head strong some people might not like him for that because maybe he was viewed as cocky . I wouldnt really beat yourself up too much over Budds. You and Lesher were only 7/10 of a second apart in qualifying and I believe he finished around 13th in the LCQ. Both you 2 are excellent riders and that track was not kind to 250 2 strokes. It was SUPER deep in qualifying and over watered in just about every corner. Even Jett called it mudds creek on the PA I was right by big gulp triple. The 450s were getting robbed of power coming out of that corner and from the looks of your go pro, sounds like you were getting robbed of power just about everywhere else. BTW idk how you drive around the country race to race. After spectating back to back weekends at Budds and Dilla, only 3-4 hrs away from my house max, I'm glad to watch the finale on my couch this weekend 😂😂

I know your a smokin man at heart like myself. Mixin gas and haulin ass is part of life. However, I must say. I got onto a 23 yz450f the other day. EXTREMELY impressed. I’ll go into why. I Did not like the older 22 style chassis. So I stuck to ktm. Everything I ride has a carb except one bike that I use for bad weather that’s hard to jet in, which at the time is 21.5 a Fc 450 RE. I race vet expert/pro off-road, intermediate moto for reference. that 23 yz450f will out corner my 450 AND my 300 two stroke gp bike. Which is a Husqvarna as well……With mx tech A kit on it….. The yz450 can change lines mid corner like a 2t and feels much lighter than the previous generation. I’m selling my ktm 450 to swap to the yamaha as my efi/button don’t think about it bike. I love my ktm 2 strokes and will always ride them and they’ll never be sold. I was following when you blew up your last 450. I know you said you’d never go back. Long story short… the new bike is so good you may want to give it a peak for certain situations. Truly an amazing ride.

@@mattburkeen820 I’d never give mine up either but there is a tool for every job is the way I look at it. Beyond the noise and the zap the reason I ride a 2t is cornering. Ability to change lines. That 450 has that. Just doesn’t have the smell sound or 2 stroke rev but in certain situations I could see myself choosing it over my VERY expensive VERY dialed 300 2t. I do feel you in my soul though. Sometimes the desire to go faster overwhelms the need to be smokin at all times. It hurts me when that happens but the going fast makes me feel better 😂😂😂😂😂😂
