Yeah, but there's one big problem: If exactly one side of your bot has all its hovers blown off by, say, a railgun, you're leaning over on one side the whole time, or whatever.

I think thats just a unavoidable consequence to receiving major damage.

This why you build hovers under your craft. I have my hover setup with 1 T5 in the back and 2 T4’s in the front. Everything on top protects these from damage.

the advantage of smaller oveeblade would be that you can hide them deep insinde the chassy, here there are way too exposed

That is the tradeoff you make when using the larger hovers. The reason I use the large hovers is partially because I like the way they look, but they also are fairly durable and they can move the entire robot effectively even if there is only one hover left (something smaller hovers struggle with). You most certainly can use the smaller hoverblades, and you might even hybridize between large and small ones to get the best of both worlds.

I had no problems making builds with hovers move normally, but it was always when they took damage or went up a hill was when it went goofy. I'll take that rudder tip to the core.

It looks like you understand the basics, but thats about as far as it goes. This bot in general would get completely rekt in a game not full of AI bots.

So I presume the match at the end of the video with no AI bots where it placed top score by over 1200 points and only 1 death was a complete fluke? I will not claim that my robots are the ULTIMATE end all machines, but they are built using sound design principles. Just because a bot is not what you are used to does not mean that it isn't competitive.

@@SolarPunkster Don't be too upset w/Teh Agent, there were those of us who had thousands of hours in game, thousands of posts in the forums, build manuals, videos, private competitions, etc. I could offer constructive criticisms, even though I haven't played in years, and Teh Agent could probably offer more. *sigh* We were a small group of passionate crafters where hours were spent making one bot a tiny bit better in one single area. We absolutely loved RC, and we're a little bitter over how FJ crashed the whole thing -- sometimes it just leaks out. :\
