Now you've got a robust list of targeted leads.
Congratulations! Great job. And, yes, you do have to reach out to them. And this is where most voice actors will take the next seemingly logical step and reach out to those folks with a connection request manually and painstakingly, one by one, on LinkedIn. That's where you're doing it wrong. You could reach out to connect with leads on LinkedIn.
And yes, there is some usefulness in that. But not everyone is active on LinkedIn. At the time of this video, LinkedIn user statistics show 722 million active users, but only 310 million, or about 43% use the platform even on a monthly basis. And only 40% of those, about 124 million people worldwide use the platform on a daily basis.
Only about one in six people on average are active daily LinkedIn users. And finally, you can only request up to 100 connections per week. Up until 2021, it was 100 per day, now it's 100 per week. So while connecting on LinkedIn does provide a touchpoint, it's not a timely and reliable way to consistently get in front of likely decision-makers who will hire voice actors.
And when it comes to getting in front of your prospects, consistency is key.

I’m so glad you that you discussed this, as I found my self waisting my time doing the very exact thing you just discussed. I was finding likely decision makers, on LinkedIn, but I knew better than to try and connect with them because I know it’s not a reliable because of inactivity by users. So I went down the rabbit holes of googling and trying to find their email. I did find a few, however it was not effective nor scalable and knew that I was waisting my time, and knew their had to be a more efficient and reliable website to find emails. Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts... You may choose 5 locations in the "open to work" for remote work a profile. With so much buzz on P2P's already, which markets would you speculate would be most beneficial? I think it's safe to say NYC, LA, etc., have enough of a talent pool in the locale as it is. Thanks!

My personal opinion is that it doesn’t matter which five markets you choose, that functionality isn’t going to move the needle one bit.

Excellent info on LinkedIn...I have to be honest - I used to absolutely HATE the platform. I'm MUCH more comfy on IG since my brain leans to the creative side. But over the past year I've learned to love it, especially because it brought with it some of the best people I've ever met. Also, nice shirt! I've got one just like it ;) Will you be at the BBQ in October?

A second LinkedIn account is not a good idea. LinkedIn frowns upon this. Optimize what you have. You own your LinkedIn profile, your employer doesn’t.

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question but do you ever reach out to potential prospects/clients using only their work/corporate email or do you use their personal emails as well? There are some apps similar to Hunter that will show someone's personal and work email.
