OBONGI- The problem of boundary dispute between local government units of Obongi and Yumbe districts negatively affected the Agricultural production in Waka, Kochiboma parishes of Itula Sub County according to the local leaders.
Siraji Karala-Karala, the LCIII Chairperson of Itula Sub County in Obongi District cited that these land conflicts always negatively affect the agricultural development program and activities in the sub county because there are suspected cases of secretive and fraudulent acquisition of communally owned land of the People.
He was speaking during a joint public consultative meeting involving the landlords of the area and other stakeholders aimed to understand the problems clearly and find ways to solve these problems once and for all.
