One thing i will say is Springboks do not play boring rugby. It might not be the fast paced, smooth and elegant rugby as a lot of NH teams and ABs but it has worked wonders for them particularly in the right moments.

Spot on about Farrel - he lost it against SA and got 10 meters against him - turning an iffy own-half-penalty kick into a much better certainty kick, which cost them the game.

Being better in defence, plus attack, plus mental calmness, plus better in tactics, makes a team better than the other on the day. Look at the scoreboard. Imagine two arm wrestlers, equally strong competing. Who wins will them come down to the better tactician, better and higher stamina, better mental strength. Its all put together to rate the complete athlete. SA was better than any other team because they reached the final and won it. Any team that didn't make the final, was not prepared for the knockout stages. Any team that didn't win the final, was not the best team.
