The fact Sasuke ran Karin through with a lightning spear to kill Danzo and she STILL was in love with him sends me over the edge to this day

I'm still salty that both Naruto and Karin didn't get any face to face interaction since they both are some of the last few Uzumaki alive and both of them are OBSESSED with Sasuke. They had one interaction which was after Sasuke betrayed Karin by stabbing her to kill Danzo and then Team 7 come to kill Sasuke but fail. Karin notices Naruto's bright and warm chakra and that's pretty much their only interaction.

This theory is pretty wild but makes sense. Imagine Karin loving Sasuke for most of her life was just a ploy to keep Orochimaru's vessel safe. Man Karin can't catch a break 😭😭😭

Crazy how a child abductor, assassinator of the fourth kazekage and third hokage, founder of a village (sound village) solely to collaborate with a great nation (village hidden in the sand) in order to attack the leaf village is not immediately assassinated for his crimes. He's not even imprisoned. Hiruzen even let him go when he was caught literally red handed from experimenting on bodies. Orochimaru got away with everything.

It could also be that she just imagined him smiling. I mean, if you've been saved from certain death, chances are that you won't be remembering it all that well. Or write in things that didn't happen later on. Or overly romanticize the person who saved you.

It was always in Sasuke's character to help people up until late shippuden. He reactively jumped in the fire of haku to save naruto and he hated naruto. He only broke that dudes arm because he was under influence of curse mark. So its definitely in his character to help people out. Its not like he's this cold hearted evil villain that only helps himself

I think it does make sense that Sasuke saved Karin in the Chunin Exam. It is a part of Sasuke’s personality to save people, especially from bullies. He was traumatized by Itachi and that’s why he broke Zaku’S arms since he hurt Sakura and Sasuke asked Sakura who did this to you. People who hurt people represents Itachi to Sasuke. Sasuke also saved Naruto from Haku’s attacks because he didn’t want to live another situation where he would lose something that is or that has a resemblance to his family which he had lost by Itachi. He also beat up bullies in Idate Morino arc if you remember. Mafia people or whatever. He also saved a little girl that was playing with a balloon and the balloon fell down a pit. He didn’t know her neither. There are many other situations I could talk about where Sasuke saved somebody. But every time he did that made sense if you consider his trauma.

This makes me wish that we could have seen Sasuke and Karin have a child

Orochimaru is the greatest character in all of Naruto. Also the most under estimated.

It's funny how this mans reason for hating Sasuke applies to basically every character in Naruto but yet it's somehow only a problem when it's Sasuke.

I can see Sasuke saving Karin here. It’s like we are forgetting the whole reason he went crazy was to protect sakura. “Sakura, who did this to you?”, clearly inflecting his human side is still in there somewhere. Not to mention, Sasuke repeatedly acknowledged he doesn’t like the way the curse mark is corrupting his mind, and tries not to use it.

Speculation on why Karin Loves Sasuke Karin hates dark chakra because she was constantly being bitten by ninja on the brink of death that only saw her as tool. Those ninja would give off a dark chakra as they would bite into her skin without regard for her life even though she would heal hundreds of shinobi each day. This started when she was 6 and it went on her whole life within the Grass village. She would constantly try to make a connection with people in the Grass village, even though those same people are the reason for her mother's death, but no one would respond to her feelings. So when Sasuke saved her I can only assume that was the first time she was shown compassion and kindness without an ulterior motive since the passing of her mother. Plus, at that moment she was seen as a person instead of a tool. Just like Naruto, she didn't have anyone in her life to connect with as she was an Outsider within the village, so it would only make sense that the very rare moments of kindness within her life would be taken to heart. A good example of this is when Naruto would go hungry as a kid and Ichiraku Ramen would offer free Ramen for him until he became a ninja and started earing his own money. Also Karin thinks Sasuke is really hot. Just had to throw that in there 😁

Don't get me wrong, I like saskue he's a good character but it was really hard to maintain that stance though Shippuden. He was just testing my patience the whole time

Despite Orichmaru being a very mallace villian in part 1 I always forget of what Orichmaru was. Not only that ,but he did save a lot of kids from terrible backgrounds like kimimaro and Karin. Of course he did terrible stuff to a lot of them ,but he it was the things he said to me that stood out to me. Orochimaru to Kimimaro “Life has no meaning ,but with some interest you can find it” Orochimaru to Karin “if you join me I can reassure you will never be touched again”. If you notice a lot of orichmaru’s followers worshipped Orochimaru like some type of god. The only thing is Orochimaru wasn’t trying to be a god like Boro was to people. He legit showed them the reality of the world which is what I like. He may have been evil ,but he was always well written with a great back story. It was even shown and hinted by Sasuke that Orochimaru attacking the leaf was not on a whim. I wish we got to know the deep story of Orochimaru and what really happened. I really always found Orochimaru’s dynamic with Sasuke interesting. At first Orochimaru wants his body and wants to use his powers. In the war we kinda see Orochimaru gives up this dream and wants to see Sasuke’s wings (him flying). Than in Boruto we see Orichmaru really wanting to see Sasuke to Mitsuki. I always felt like after Orochimaru changed and decided his genes and dna binded him from conquering the world he felt as if Sasuke was like a trophy in a sense.

Sasuke is that one dude who caused all the trouble in class but gets away with it because he's the principles favorite

The smile is his tell, Orochi was who she saw in that moment. He always smiled at people whereas Sasuke I don't recall ever doing that and especially at that time makes even less sense. Though every time Orochimaru was up to something while looking like someone else he always did that cheeky smile of his when he gets away with it.

Sasuke defected, because he was looking for power to kill itachi. He figured that going with Orochi would be the fast route.

Sasuke only got mad because naruto was almost as strong as him BECAUSE he thought he wasn’t going no where in progression he saw naruto getting stronger while he was making no progress. So he thought he needed to gain more power to beat itachi so that’s why he went to orochimaru

Juugo can be suppressed by Sasuke. Makes fine sense.

I’m gonna gues you didn’t really watch that ep. He saved her when team 7 got split up initially, before he got the curse mark. He smiles when he’s “on top”, like when he saved naruto against the mist ninja in their first real mission, he was acting cocky. Who wouldn’t act cocky after kicking a giant bear in the head so hard it faints.

I mean, if we're taking the anime as canon with Karin's story then you could easily explain it by the fact; she never had anyone but Orochimaru and his people to stick by in her life Orochimaru saved her from a life of being used by other people. sure he experimented on her but she was still willingly loyal to orochimaru which would indicate she was at last treated decently enough. Rose through the ranks and was appointed leader of the southern hideout. After orochimaru is dead; were does Karin have left to go? Her village? Her family? All she's known is living in the hidden grass which abused her and literally worked her mother to death, and Sasuke who shows up at an uncertain time in Karin's life with orochimaru being dead and offering her a place to belong. In some ways Sasuke offers Karin a new chance of some, albeit limited, freedom. So to me it'd make sense she'd attach herself unhealthily to the only other person outside of Orochimaru who ever admitted they wanted her around. Sure he ends up stabbing her, but even when breaking out of prison; she still has nothing outside except Sasuke and so when Sasuke does says sorry she forgives him. Because she literally has nothing else especially since Orochimaru is shown to be helping Sasuke now too, her entire 'family' / the only people who ever wanted her around are following him again. In turn, yeah idk why else she'd turn her back to him even if he tried to kill her when every person she knows / cares about is already siding with Sasuke. It'd be easier for her to forgive and continue to cling to him because in some way he still needed her, and Orochimaru still needed her. It's an unfortunate situation because Karin was never given a chance to really be anything outside of working for Orochimaru and in turn Sasuke because she probably would develop an untrustworthy attitude to the villages after her treatment and probably further when she'd find out why she was treated so poorly. Like, yeah cool naruto is accepted but Karin literally was going to be used until death by the villages and no one stopped them so how could she trust a village or any villagers to be safe with? To me it wouldn't matter if she saw sasuke or not in the forest of death, because she wouldn't have attached herself to him originally and i doubt it's why she joined him to begin with either since it's not rlly what we're shown in the anime or manga? continued on that she could also see his change of chakra in the war after she breaks out of prison as a way that he genuinely is sorry as well since it wouldnt have been filled with the same hatred furthering her ability to forgive him because she knows he isnt lying. But that's just my two cents

While I have no doubt Orochimaru could have implanted the entire memory, I see it far more likely that the Bear saving event *DID* happen, and with Karin not being a threat, and not having the required scroll made her not worth arm ripping consideration. Afterwords Orochimaru took an already existing memory, and gave it just a little nudge, adding in Sasuke's smile

No shade, but I feel as if your looking at Sasuke only surface level. I’d actually argue that Sasuke has one of the best arcs and I understand how he ended up where he was. He goes from someone just wanting revenge to creating his own solution to the world, which differed in the directions he was being pulled towards by naruto and itachi. He moved past his own revenge and was acting on how he thought would truly help the world. The whole being messed up to his team, he just found out u ended ur bro who was innocent. Anyone would go on a emotional rage tantrum after that, especially after context is given that Uchihas feel emotions more than everyone else (2nd Hokage’s words). I love your content and always will and Sasuke isn’t even a top 5 character for me personally, but I feel as if your selling Sasuke short.
