The foam is called Plastazote closed cell foam which is a durable and flexible material with high levels of shock resistance, vibration absorption & thermal insulation. This polyethylene foam (PE foam) offers excellent chemical and water resistance, alongside many other beneficial properties. Thanks for the comment.

Hello, I have a Pelican 1535 with pick n pluck. It holds a dji FPV and a dji air 2S along with the support gear. I would prefer this type of foam if you can do a custom job.

We use Top Case out of Minnesota to ship $500k transducers in. They would be way too spendy if you're just doing a one-off case for something.. but they're great if you're planning on using them for your business.

I think Kiazen has a pull apart foam - that a lot of guys use. Looks to be a really nice product. Alternately, have the inserts 3D printed?

@@JDAfrica I'm looking closed cell more hard wearing/water resistant and rot proof as my reels are going to be wet when I finish a days fishing so my thinking behind it is few years of use rather than months...... still a great looking box and idea all same

I am no expert but I find it odd that CNC router is used to cut foam, you can see it doesn't cut the material very well. And water seems like an overkill on other hand. I would have thought that laser would be the best choice to cut foams.

Hi Arek. Thanks for the comment. We wouldn't even look at Laser foam cut foam and unless your a hobbyist it must be avoided. Foam and Heat equals Fire. The CNC cuts the foam extremely well and all the samples you see on the video are done with CNC or waterjet. Laser is too slow not accurate enough and would be no good for large jobs. Waterjet is very quick and offers the chance to have perfect square coroners and are good for massive multiple jobs. We can cut to a depth of 150mm which again the Laser wouldnt be able to do.

@@grahamclark8034 You're right. I've tried today at work to cut some few offs using cheap laser engraver and finish was flawless and accurate enough for such purposes but it was slow and the foam smells afterwards I also had to use smoke covert and do two passes to not have it light up on fire and it needed to be watched during the whole process.
