My girlfriend and I were in a Brent Rivera video once. We were holding mattresses and falling like dominos. He was the fakest, most inauthentic creator I’ve ever met. His enthusiasm is only there when the camera’s running. I remember him treating his sister and gf like shit right before we started recording, it was super awkward. Last time I’ll be doing that.

Copyright abuse is why I feel human verification is needed when a takedown request is sent. Granted, that'd take forever in most cases, so to compensate for the time, KZfaq could put a notification saying it'll take time and they will provide an update on their decision after verification was made

The biggest issue with the KZfaq Copyright system is it operates pretty much the exact opposite of the American justice system. In the courts, you are innocent until you are proven guilty whereas with the KZfaq Copyright system, you are deemed guilty immediately upon the accusation and need to prove your innocence. It’s really messed up because there are probably more people that abuse the copyright system than people who are damaged by plagiarism and I find it really freaking sad that someone like Brent Rivera can steal other people’s content and get away scot free while he’s free to copyright strike anyone who he has a beef with. He really is a petulant child who doesn’t deserve a sliver of the success. It amazes me how people call for his crap.

As someone whos step brother SA me from age 7 to when I was 13 and finally could leave that home It truly is horrifying. Sexualizing your sister is NOT OKAY! The nightmares and the fact no justice was served I think is the worst part. Just knowing he is out there. My stepmother saw him doing stuff to me, smiled and walked away. Ill never forget the look she had, how I thought for a second I would be saved and she just walked away. Told my dad everything and he didn't believe me. He actualy wanted me to apologize to my step brother for LYING about him. As a general practice, it's cheaper to keep whoever will net you the bigger profits. Trying to understand youtube drama is outside what's reasonable to investigate about a bunch of youtubers annoying eachother. This case seems clear cut but I'm sure this kind of stuff happens in any direction quite often to the point that it's not worth it to thoroughly investigate every single instance.

The amount of channels permanently gone forever for false copyright strikes against them is pretty massive, just FYI. Lots of people just give up and move on when it happens, it's less now that more people know that you can fight them, but there was a time when there was no real process and the only people who could fight them at all were channels with 100k+ subs and money to throw around on lawyers. Tons of smaller creators were nuked by people striking them from separate fake accounts getting the channel immediately taken down, then the channel owner has some 60 days or something to respond after which it's permanently deleted. At least it used to be like that years ago. Not sure now and don't really care, youtube is cable - if you are a big network with money, you can play, else FU. I think out of the things I used to watch about 9/10 are gone, the remainder are massive but cookiecutter.
