This is a sermon that every professing Christian needs to hear. Many Christians and non-Christians believe that if you break God's law that God will continue to extend His grace, love and mercy forever. In spite of our lawlessness or breaking his law God extends His grace over and over. This is strange that we don't expect from those who enforce city, state or federal laws. Why is this? Do we put human authority and human laws higher than God and His laws? God say if you love me keep my commandments. This video points out what God expects from us. It points out what God will do for us and in us.How could this teaching be so neglected. I will never know? This is a beautiful message. It gives me hope. It lets me know that God cares for me and that he not trying to take away my fun, but he trying to save me from destruction.

Often people say - oh that's legalism and salvation by works - yadayada.... Trying to be perfect without Christ is a tall order, but with Christ's helping you. Most Christians are aware of being called to follow the law of God in some ways - e.g. how many would cheat on their wives/husbands and say, "Oh I'm forgiven, I'm saved!"

You can NOT lose your salvation by sin... The Holy Spirit works in a person once he is saved to help him walk a narrower path. Everyone starts wherever they are, and keeps improving as the work of Sanctification is done in them by THE HOLY SPIRIT! Even that is not of us! ALL GLORY be to GOD!!! Everyone who comes to the Lord, comes at a different level. Saving faith is believing that what Jesus did at the cross WAS ENOUGH! There is NOTHING we can add. The last thing He said before dying on the cross was "Tetelestai!" Which translated means "It IS FINISHED!" This man is a WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING! RUN!!!! God bless!!!

***** Lol Quoting Paul is now a Lie......? Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- Not only this God has stopped imputing Sin... Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. You see this is establishing a doctrine of Grace not works. Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. UNTIL the law. sin could not be imputed. When the law was established at Sinai ....sin could be Imputed. It makes all such perfect logic. Happy as always Michael to here you view of "imputed sin" Getting upset is just giving in the Flesh opportunity to flare up and say thing we wished we hadn't. To use a Footy term, go for the Ball,(Bible Text) not the man (Me), Lol

***** Lol, You really want to be under law Michael.. What can you look forward to under Law? The law is a Curse to us. Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: Is it the Curse that appeals to you? or You wish to be kept under the law maybe. Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. You wish to perhaps establish your own righteousness. Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, You wish to be a worker. Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. Grace, michael, is unmerited favor. no good works required. You better behaviour is not by a Law that is a Curse but by you being led by the Spirit. Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law or under the curse of the law. Glory to God righteousness is without LAW......... Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested,

***** you say"Tell it to Abraham."? Paul is talking to you not Abraham. Mans relationship to law has changed. Why do you ignore the elephant in the room. Paul said the Law is a curse. Shouldnt your dispute be with Paul. I am just the messenger repeating what Paul has said. The quality question is WHY Paul said the law is a Curse. If you don`t know.................. this is when you go back to the bible and find out......

Dear Pastor Doug Batchelor: I want to start off by saying I love you and peace be with you. I made you part of my life because you helped me become closer to Jesus and now i read my Bible alot more than ever and now i always look on youtube to see if you have any new sermon. I wanted to know and maybe you can do research on this and share it with others but... i wanted to know if it is ok with you that you teach us in your opinion according to the Bible and what Jesus did.. "How and when to witness" Should we witness to people even though we dont fully know much of the bible and we are currently in training or that does not matter we should witness even the little bit that we know. Should we make sure that we do not add anything nore take away anything from the Bible when we witness? Should we always do it out of good will and never in rivery? is it right to go knocking from door to door witnessing to strangers because some christians do this but i know that some countrys you can do that and some you cannot do that, did Jesus do it that way? or should we become friends with person first so that they can know more about you and you can know more about them and it wont feel strange because the person is no longer a stranger? or should witnessing be something that is schedualed for both the talker and the listener because un expected visits may turn away the listeners oppertunity ? is every place appropriate for witnessing including the work place or maybe it is not a good idea to witness at your job since you are under the clock and youv got work to do and also there might be people around from other religion and they might get offended, causing yourself to be despised by others? is it ok if a person is to shy to witness and they been shy all there life or that does not matter, we should witness anyways? Can we still be saved even if we never really witnessed to anybody but still kept all commandments, prayed a lot, lived rightious and holy lives? I pray that you may one day help me and others how to do this . I hope to keep hearing and seeing you and the internet and maybe one day i can meet you, if i never do meet you here on this earth of sin, then i definatly hope to see you in paradise for eternity . God bless you my brother :)

Only Jesus Christ was and is perfect. Only Jesus Christ is good enough for God. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. He alone is the way, the truth and eternal life. Unless He washes us clean, we'll have no part with Him. The will of God is that we believe in His Son Jesus so that we will have eternal life through Him. I can never fulfill the Law and be perfect. None of us can. We're all sinners and fallen short of God's glory. We can't save ourselves to Heaven with our good works. That's why God gave His only begotten Son so that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ did everything for us! All I can do is to remain with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Please don't let anyone or anything in this world stop you from turning to Jesus Christ, your only way to eternal life. Turn to Him and stay with Him!

Thanks for the nice sermon. I am pretty sure E.G. White wrote about the scripture, be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect" Is as our Father in heaven is perfect in his sphere, so are we to be in our human sphere. I think that's the word she used, was sphere, or maybe meaning sphere of influence or location? I would have to look it up, but I know as soon as we have overcome some negative influence in our lives, we will then see another, that's the growth, growing up in Christ I think is a good way to put it. If we think we are done growing, then we have been deceived, because we will always have room for improvement and see that we are not done.

Christians ought to strive with the guiding influence and empowerment of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the central demand of love which remits to be worked out in every specific situation. I say ought to and not should, because as we all know we are only perfected by faith in Christ, by God's imputed righteousness towards us. Faith = Salvation + Good Works, NOT Faith and Good Works = Salvation. Eph 2:8-16

Wow well I just did a short bible study in this subject per say . How much is our effort to be righteous and how much is faith well become what he called us to become, we're perfected only by the blood of Christ in our SPIRIT. The body we live in has been defiled and is predispositioned to sin, this includes our mind. Our soul is being washed clean as we study to show ourselves approved. This is why he says renew you mind DAILY! So the spirit of The Lord is perfect within us,

I don't know what your "sins" are but, this video, and many others, WOW!, What a brain wash. All that the bible and jesus and god and blah blah blah and all that blah is, is just an epic literature like Gilgamesh. Just somewhere along the way people started to "Believe" in epic literature as truth and life and the way to live. Please do not believe this. This "Stuff" needs to leave our earth. We people(humans) are a very creative species, as you can clearly see in this video. You are "saved". Save your damn self. Be a strong individual yourself. You do not need a brainwashing lie to change yourself. Just please be yourself. Don't miss understand me though. I believe that people can believe in whatever they want, and i respect that. But some things like certain portions of Christianity, is just a little bit "out of this world" if you will. I say all this with the most respect i can. Good luck in your life. Honestly.

Chatara is right. The fact that you feel terrible about your sins is a good sign that you aren't complacent. Ask for forgiveness and the strength to overcome your sins. Your righteousness is not dependent on your actions. It is external of you. Your job is to accept a Gift. It was paid for 2000 years ago. It is pointless to pay again by your miserable effort or your works of the Law. Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- No law here bro. You are saved not of yourself. You have complete liberty in Christ. Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (law and works) Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. You walk in newness of life in the Knowledge that christ has paid the price. This knowledge will conquer sin not your efforts to be good. God bless Christs righteousness because mine stinks.

The title reads: "How Perfect Should a Christian Be?" Answer: We ought to be perfectly sinless in our lives. But this also applies to the non-believer. Every creature of God ought to be sinless. Q. How perfect are actual Christians? A. We are not perfectly sinless; this does not happen until glorification, at the 2nd Advent. "Ought" never implies ability. "Should" is synonymous with "ought". "Ought" statements are imperatives; they are not meant to teach us of our abilities.

I do think a lot of churches today imply the following message: "Christ has saved you from having to pay the punishment of your sins. You have already been given the gift of eternal life so don't burden yourself with the work of sanctification. You don't have to bother with this whole "sinless" stuff. It's not really possible anyway. You are free in moderation to sin when it suits because Christ has paid in full."

If we look at the context of Jesus' teaching in Matthew 5, He is talking about loving your brother and those outside of your own circle of friends and family. And a Greek word study will show that the word translated as "perfect" can also be translated as something close to "mature". So we may be using the word differently than Jesus used it here. We can see from Matthew 25 that the King is concerned with our actions toward others regarding charity (love) and justice. So, be mature in love.

Where then is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? NO! , but that of faith. For we MAINTAIN that a man is justified by faith APART from observing the law Rom 3:27

Heb.10:14 For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Rom.8:29-30 called, justified, sanctified, glorified. All work of God. Matthew 5:48 How do we accomplish perfection equalling the perfection of God Himself? By faith in Christ who fulfilled the law, and who nailed it to the cross on behalf of all who believe on His name. No Christ did not come to destroy the law- it still applies to all who are outside the grace of God. But believers are already considered perfect.

Greetings 11;11 Ministries. I have about four questions. Could you please tell me which of the inspired 27 books in the New Testament has the list of books that we should include into the New Testament? I see lists of the genealogy of Jesus in the book we believe was written by Matthew, but no where am I seeing a list in any of the 27 books telling us which books actually belong in the New Testament. If we are only to believe what is written in these books, then please show me the chapter and verses that has this list, as you are telling everyone that we should only believe what is written in a chapter and verse from one of these books, and if it is not written in one of these books then we absolutely cannot believe it to be true for our salvation. A follow-up question to that then is which book, chapter and verse teach us that we are 'only' to believe what is written in these 27 books, or should we not believe you when you tell us we should only believe what is written? If that's the case, then I think you're kind of acting like you're a pope on these points when you tell all of us what we should believe when it's not actually written in the bible explicitly. Are you thinking you're a pope? Should we believe you just because you tell us without evidence from the bible or are we only going to believe what the bible actually says, what's actually literally written down inside of one of these 27 books? Just a couple more questions..... Where in the writings of Matthew does it tell us that the Gospel of Matthew was written by Matthew, and if it not written in the book of Matthew anywhere then are we not supposed to believe that Matthew wrote it? The titles of these books were added later, they were not written by the actual writers. The inspired writings are only the chapters and verses. This goes for all of the 4 gospels. Do you believe that Matthew wrote Matthew, and Luke wrote Luke, inspired by God, and if you do, why do you believe this? Where does the Gospel of Luke tell us that Luke wrote Luke and that when Luke was writing this Gospel he was inspired by God? Which chapter and verse in Luke tells us this? You're telling everyone around you that we are all only supposed to believe what is actually written inside one of these books, so please tell me which chapter and verses you find the answers to my basic logical questions which should be very easy for you to answer, since they should be written down somewhere in one of these books, or you tell us we shouldn't believe it, which sounds popish of you again. Hmmm....This leads to only one of three things brother, either you're a liar, a hypocrite, or just confused and still learning the faith. The New Testament tells us that God is not the author of confusion, (you can google that verse) implying any group, including the Baptist church, if it causes confusion within Christianity, must be causing confusion because of Satan leading the person or group to cause that confusion. Are you being led by Satan when you create confusion in Christianity brother, even if it is out of your ignorance of history? Jesus prayed that we Christians may all be one, because the church is his bride, and he can only have one bride. He is not a polygamist, and his bride is not just a spiritual entity of all true believers, but she is also physical, just as real human people are both spirit and physical. His bride can be visibly seen here on earth, now, today. People don't marry spirits, we marry people, the church is both body and spirit not just a spiritual union, but a physical union, and can be seen visibly on earth. It is a city set on a hill for all to see, a beacon for the lost souls in the world. if anyone preaches against this desire Christ had for oneness then they are preaching against Christ himself. So please tell me why were these 27 books added to the scriptures if there's no inspired list written inside of any of the books? At the time Jesus walked the earth the scriptures Paul talks about only included the Old Testament books, which were chosen by the leaders of the Jews, because there were no New Testament books written yet. Please tell me who and why these 27 books of the New Testament were added to the Jewish scriptures of the Old Testament, what year they were chosen, and by who being led, obviously, by the Holy Spirit? Did Jesus add them to the Old Testament scripture, and if he did, which book, chapter and verse can I find that in, when did that happen? There should be an inspired list of bible books inside of one of the New Testament books if we are going to believe the list of 27 books is inspired according to your teachings acting as if you are a Pope. Which book chapter and verses can I find this list or am I only to believe you and your word Mr. "Pope" Preacher that they are inspired books? You tell everyone to only believe what is actually written in the bible brother, but you don't even follow this teaching. Where does the word of God tell us that the New Testament book of Jude belongs in the New Testament? You don't follow what you teach brother. This is the root of the confusion you are spreading, and you are going against the Bride of Christ, his one Church, his one wife, hitting her with the very same 27 books she preserved for you to read. Christ and his Bride are one, just as a husband and wife are one flesh, they are also one flesh, one body. Therefore, just as Jesus told Saul prior to renaming him, you are throwing mud and spitting at Christ himself when you throw mud and spit at his one Bride. She is physically as old as Christ himself, he chose her himself when he was here on earth, and she will never be corrupted because it is Christ himself building her up. The gates of hell will try to destroy her, using ignorant men like Saul and people like yourself only out of ignorance, and even those within her ranks, like dead skin that needs to fall off the body, but the gates of hell will never prevail against her, because she is his Wife, and they are one flesh. He forgives her for errors she makes, just as you would forgive your own wife for errors she makes in your house brother. Edit addition: PS. I only wrote on your post, because I'm hoping you'll respond. I really am not posting this to be antagonistic, and you seem like you really are trying to do the right thing in this life. Keep following Christ brother, as we all should. I pray the scales will fall off the eyes of the ignorant just as they did for Saul prior to being renamed Paul as he spat in the face of Christ himself when he spat at Christ's Wife, his one Bride, his Church. Just a final thought: What would you do if strangers spat in your wife's face? Peace brother. :)

Thread, "Investigative Jud.", I would say this SDA doctrine, I.J., is more demaging than the "Jesuit oath" reletaive to Protestants or even non-SDA-Sabbath keepers, like 7th Day Babtist. Why, it is more subtle than the aforemention "Jesuit Oath:" ? It undermines the basic teaching of redemption and how Jesus finished the work of redemption at the cross when he said, "It is Finished".

All the people's in the world i think that they all knows the bible n they have read also but why they cannot do according to the words of God...the reason is this they dont understand the grace of God...they try to do the laws of God by their own power n try to be perfect by their own power...dont underestimate the grace of God because the grace of God has the to power to help us to do what has written in the words of God.

Be ye HOLY the king james said, not perfect. Holiness is being IN CHRIST, he is our holiness, and HOPE to be like him, its not until we see him. Does anyone think while Jesus was alive, that he would just come out and tell everyone, the enemy included what would take place at the cross? Or tell the world that he would be have a resurrected body shortly? God always demanded perfedt holiness, this is why we need a savior......and its Jesus rightousness that is given to us, freely to those who believe on him. Satan has sure come up with all sorts of ways to trample GRACE.

There is no obtainable proof of evolution and Darwin himself doubted his own theory. Countlessly he edited the Origin of Species, one edition after another (so books, as in plural), as there were always doubts and unresolved issues. How many times was the bible edited may i ask? Furthermore, God is a perfect being, hence the Bible (His Word), is incapable of contradicting itself. To understand a single verse you must compare it to similar or nearby verses.

The mind/soul is being renewed into righteousness daily. The body will be done away with as it returns to the earth well receive our "glorified " bodies. So remember we are a tri-part being. We are righteous in spirit being made righteous in our mind daily as we crucify the flesh daily until perfection ,all 3 righteous once were gathers as his bride. Be careful of LEGALISM it's subtle and as sinful, as external sinful acts. He expects our best as we accept the blood of Jesus ,not perfection

The scripture itself does not put emphasis on which is first or last as the determining factor of authority. The process of inspiration and writing of the OT is no different than the NT. The reason why the Church of Israel failed is that they raised there ecclesiastical traditions than the scriptures! It could be same with any church today! The WHOLE (old and new) scripture, as the WORD OF GOD, is "scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, reproof, correction. 2Tm 3:16

Now here is an Amazing Fact: In Great Controversy, Ellen White's greatest book, she claims that every single follower who refuse to believe the math of William Miller regarding 1844 and the 2300 day prophecy; will need to stand in their own "perfection" without the power of Jesus as our mediator. Ellen White really says that she thinks Jesus is not available since He is busy with the Father inside the Holy of Holies with the entrance being a "closed door". Her own words "Closed Door" .

The book of James says you must act opon your faith or it isnt faith. A far cry from saying we must become morally perfect in this life in order to "finalize" our salvation. We are saved by grace through faith. Period. (Ephesians 2:4-9) Works come naturally as a result, but they have no bearing on the salvation process because at every step we are covered by the imputed righteousness of Christ. (Romans 3:20-28; 4:4,5,8; 10:2-4) The bible does not teach a doctrine of character perfection.

My Question is, why do the Seventh Day Adventists show a dipiction assuming (Pictures) of Jesus, supposedly a White Man, with long hair? Doesn't the Ten Commandments forbid such a thing, when His Description was a blending in with the people of His Day, and not of any special attraction?

Dougie, hear's what 1John 4: 17 says, Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world. See that Dougie, I am just like Christ in this world right now. Now everyone read Eph:1: 13-14 so that Dougie can't frighten you. santification simply means to be set apart, its not a process, if you have good and bad apples in a box, you will seperate the good from the bad, but it's not a continuous thing. You have facts but no truth.
