Piastri was correct that he made a few mistakes but Leclerc was flawless either i think if it was he would have broken the track record and get close to an 10,0

Yep, the only thing that counts is that you can drive the perfect lap. Lec did that, Piastri didn't. Nonetheless, Piastri is a beast and only 21 years old. He also has grown quite a bit in his racing experience

Well according to the GPS data, IF Piastri drove the perfect lap he would be ahead of Charles. Charles driving the perfect lap, and Piastri not, made all the difference

Both great drivers but a lot of leclerc's bad luck is his own doing. The Monaco pole crash was him, the Monza crash was him.. many times he's pushed just a bit too much and is cost him. So far am Piastri's bad luck is unfortunate safety car timing, collisions by other drivers (sainz, Hamilton and his team not relaying the correct info

He didnt beat it this year, Hamiltons record is from qualifying and they will never go as fast as that in a race.

Imagine if Leclerc did a almost flawless lap like he did in 2022 (when he got cut off by the redflag of perez) and attacked the track today like he did that day, he would have done a 10,0. To me it seemed like he was still not at his best today And although Piastri did make a few little mistakes his run was almost flawless for him

I dare to disagree, McLaren is really strong right now, and if you look at ideal laps times (virtual laps made of the absolute best sectors for the whole session) Piastri would have been ahead of Leclerc's bet ideal lap. So obviously what that tells you is that this pole was Charle's, not the other way around. Piastri should have been on pole, and what made the difference was Leclerc's ability to put everything together when it mattered.

Lando era definitly. But Leclerc has the edge on lando in raw pace and consistency, and is in a different team so may well have a car advantage. Dont think you realise just how insane Charles is becasue of all his bad luck. He would have been dominating the 2022 championship going into the summer break, but he lost roughly 80 points to Ferrari BS, and over 100 by seasons end, tho the car wasnt competitive after the summer break. Charles should have at least another 7 wins by now, if not for his bad luck

@@dylanburston7453 I really don't think so, fast he is! no doubt about that, but just in the last few seasons, He has spun or gone off track chased by checo at least 3 times, and I'm not comparing them, I am saying Leclerc has a weakness that is piastri's biggest talent/strength.

@@mal3x Since the ground effect era started, Charles has made 6 mistakes. 3 in 2022 and 3 in 2023. Two were in quali Only max has made less (because of 2023, he made more in 2022), tho hes making more this year. Piastri has made mistakes, and has a general lack of race pace becasue he cant manage his tyres. Something that Charles is now the best on the grid at.
