How Piccolo was Born?

Күн бұрынGuru begins to feel Krillin's past just by absorbing Krillin's thoughts. Guru says that it is such a terrible thing that a powerful Namekian tore himself in two. Kami and King Piccolo were originally one being and they separated out of anguish from a grueling internal struggle. Guru says that before Kami could become guardian of the Earth, he had to purge even the smallest trace of evil from his heart. Thus, he split himself in two and King Piccolo was born. In splitting himself, his power was also halved. Guru explains that if they had reunited, they would not have been defeated by any normal Saiyan. Guru tells Krillin that his heart is pure, and his intentions are true, explaining that his bravery and loyalty for his friends are beyond question. He then tells Krillin that he has proven himself worthy to receive the Dragon Ball. Guru reaches for the Dragon Ball and hands it to Krillin, who proceeds to thank him and tells him that it means a lot to him.

King Piccolo always seemed to have more gravity to him than any other villain, despite significantly lower stakes than any Z villain.

His stakes are all life on earth, which was the whole universe in DragonBall, so i call those higher stakes, and unlike frieza who might kill a few planets but avoid useless carnage or buu who'd destroy everything instantly, piccolo wanted to destroy everything just slowly enough to maximize despair. Extinction is good, dying screaming is better, but we really need to obtain maximum suffering and evil if possible. The Demon King.

Then piccolo jr was a bit less frightening but fucking cooler, so worked great as a kind of post-climax cherry on top conclusion. Then Z introduced vegeta, who is great but, 80% just a weak replacement for piccolo. His addition to the story is great but they never should have pushed out piccolo for him. And buu saga vegeta is really weak so they really should have done majin piccolo. The whole buu saga lacks any character arc depth in general though.

In Z, he was never a villain. He turned good before even having the chance to do anything. Even after Raditz died, he said that they'll probably revive Goku with the Dragon Balls and he didn't showed any sign of wanting to stop them.

And Demon King Piccolo never had a "son" named Piccolo, are you confused about the soul transfer reincarnation? That wasn't his son, that him making a new body for himself to get revenge. Its crazy how later on Kami surpasses Piccolo Daimao by a lot. We know this because he was able to flick away an enraged Kid Goku (who had just gotten a zenkai from his fight with Piccolo most-likely) whereas Piccolo Daimao was one-shot by an Oozaru fist

@@waldoman7 it says Kami's power was also split into half meaning he most-likely weakened himself in splitting into two; perhaps the original japanese version doesnt say that but from this clip we can infer he did get weaker from the splitting process; so he most-likely had to train to regain the strength he had lost and perhaps even surpass it

So let me get this straight, Piccolo and Kami used to be 1 person. And when they fused together in the Android Saga, he was on par with Android 17. Which is far stronger than Super Saiyan at that point. Just imagine if King Piccolo absorb Kami back in the original DB. Kid Goku is finished,Raditz,Vegeta and Nappa is also finished. Along with Frieza. Would there even be an Android Saga if Piccolo destroyed Goku,The Saiyans and Frieza. He would have been Supreme Ruler of Earth for a long time,until Majin Buu.

piccolo jr and demon king piccolo have the same soul and memories but the reincarnation process and growing from a child again changed something within him making piccolo his own individual self so by the 23rd martial arts tournament piccolo had different mannerisms and thought processes from the original only when interacting with kami and goku set off the evil and sadistic tendencies in his heart, then after five years by himself and finally getting his "vengence" killing goku and interacting with gohan allowing him to let go of his ambitions and sacrifice himself and die is when Demon King piccolo is gone for good.

Not gone for good, because his soul reemerges a number of times throughout the series, recently against Frost in the DBS manga where Piccolo literally refers to himself as demon king Piccolo. That said, this is who Piccolo is: Darth Vader which incorporates both the good and dark side of the force. Just like Anakin, Piccolo is both yin and yang and as of right now, both sides have come full circle and are in a harmonizing balance.

Piccolo being reincarnate didn't change anything in himself and he's not his own individual self. Piccolo IS Demon King Piccolo 💯%. The change came when he decided to help Goku defeat Raditz since he hated Goku. THAT'S when he started to change🤓

@@great159 Piccolo was different from the original Demon King Piccolo even before Raditz showed up, yes he still identified as evil and his ambition was world domination but he wasn't anywhere near as menacing as the original Piccolo who freed the worlds worst criminals and declared an annual holiday where every year he would destroy a city for fun the reincarnated Piccolo however walked the earth unchecked for 3 years before meeting Goku at the 23rd world martial arts tournament and there was no mention of him committing any evil deeds in that time (In the anime there are several scene's of child Piccolo doing bad stuff but I can't remember if it was anime only or in the manga but in either case he doesn't kill anyone anyway) after losing to Goku at the tournament he spends 5 years living alone in the wilderness not bothering a single person the only time reincarnated Piccolo really showed his evil side is when he was interacting with Goku or Kami every other time you see him he's pretty chill.

Because it was specifically done so Kami could become Earth's guardian. Meaning that other Namekians have no reason to split apart and cut their power in half. Also this is either a Toriyama forgot moment, but Dende didn't need to split off his evil. Meaning Toriyama might have forgot or Dende is pure of heart

It's not making sense at all. The old picollo was defeated by goku, yet when Goku went to see kami after that Kami was way stronger than him. Therefore there were not equally powerful after the split.

The original Demonking Piccolo and Kami are 2 weaklings, I don't think so when they are going to one Person again that there are stronger than Raddiz 😂 you can see Kamin have a PL from ~200 and Piccolo Jr. ~320 (in the end of DB or in the begin of Z) (and the Piccolo Jr. Are stronger than the original Demonking Piccolo😂) and the "Guru" say that there are was "Powerful" before the Split into 2 🤣, alone Nail have a PL from 40.000

I thought it was interesting when guru said a refused piccolo×kami would have destroyed frieza, then i was really kind of like wtf when post namek z fighters started having issues with power scaling Definitely needed a little bit of revision, refinement... but, db is almost perfect. Still my favorite anime, always will be a top ten for me. Currently i like demon slayer, but, it seems like the creators couldnt decide wtf the hashira are... and it lacks the explanation of their attacks as energy, because it clearly is a form of energy they control with breathing. Comparable to the avatar universe but different because demon slayer seems to manifest their elements.

i prefer demon king piccolo. Saiyan saga vegeta was very one note and his actions didn't make a ton of sense, really didn't get properly fleshed out until they go to namek. Meanwhile demon king piccolo was pure evil, but not destroy the world evil, rule the world evil. He valued his children.

Krillin met kami. Krillin met king piccolo. Kami told the Z fighters at the tournament who piccolo, king piccolo, and "hero" were (kami in disguise)

Was there any point in Krillins potential being unlocked? Because when Kami unlocked Gohan’s potential, he was able to go SSJ2. And we have yet to see anything from Krillin. I just feel like the only thing unlocked his potential did was keep up with some of the villains. Edit: I was thinking of Guru not Kami lmao

This is what I don't get. Kami had a power level around 300-350. King Piccolo had a power lever around 250-300. Say if we gave Guru the benefit of doubt and made both 300. Then fused together Kami/Piccolo would be at 600 pl in theory. But, when Z Piccolo arrives on Namek having a Sayian saga level pl. He fuses with Nail who has a pl rivaling a Ginyu force member. This causes Piccolo to be as strong or a little stronger than second form Frieza who was at 1 million pl. Piccolo then trains for three and a half years then finally fuses with Kami and goes from somewhere around 10-100 million all the way to a billion or so power level. So if Kami fused with King Piccolo or vise versa. Would they be closer to the billions or would the absence of Nail make them much weaker? Besides this. Would a "King Kami Piccolo" Fusion be stronger than dbz Frieza or a super sayian Goku?

Except he was wrong piccolo had a power level of around 250 so when combined with kami it would've been around 500 so even a week saiyan would beat him if goku was raised as a saiyan he likely would have been much stronger than he was even raditz who was considered extremely weak had a power level over 1000 which would easily beat kami before he split even napa who was one of the weaker saiyans had a power level of 4000 and goku even being raised on earth as a yoing adult had a power level of 900 and something at the end of dragonball when he fought piccolo

This is why so many fans hate the original English dub. Their power wasn’t split equally. Kami was even stronger than Goku after he beat King Piccolo and the power up that Piccolo got after merging w/ Kami was his biggest jump in power level that he had. I love the original dub for nostalgia but looking back on it, it has so many flaws.

A lot of problems come from not dubbing Original Dragon Ball first. There's one scene in Z where Master Roshi is giving a summary of the World Martial Arts Tournament that always comes to mind, cause it's very obvious the dub team had never seen Dragon Ball because his speech is full of slight errors.

I doubt that's true. Goku was a kid when he defeated him that time and that too weaker than saiyans like Vegeta, raditz and Nappa. If his power were just half he doesn't even come closer to even Adult raditz. Even piccolo when he faced raditz 10 times stronger than demon King piccolo and he alone was nothing in front of raditz. So definitely Even if king piccolo didn't divided himself in half he still wouldn't have stand a chance against even raditz or Goku at the beginning of z who was a lot weaker than raditz.

Because their split DIVIDED the original power level by MULTIPLE times, the power of Kami+King Piccolo was not just divided by 2, but by a lot of times (probably thousands of times, so originally the nameless namekian was probably stronger than Frieza or even stronger than a super saiyan)....it's basically the same concept of when a fusion ends...for example when the fusion of Gotenks ends, Goten and Trunks separate in 2 but their power level isn't just halved, it is divided multiple times and so they both become very weak in comparison to Gotenks, SO the same happened to Kami and King Piccolo when they were splint into 2 different beings, their original power level was diveded thousands of times. But even then, at the time they were still both stronger than basically everyone else on Earth, so King Piccolo could still unleash all that death and destruction (and Kami couldn't stop him directly without killing himself), until Goku came and beat him eventually....
