DJFalcon Some bad character examples from games prior to MK8 are Bee Queen, Metal Mario, and Baby Daisy. Bee Queen is super obscure, Metal Mario is a clone, and Baby Daisy is a lazy new idea. Pink Gold Peach is all 3. Why don't you explain how any other character is as bad? Though the Koopalings took up 7 slots that could've been given to Birdo, Diddy Kong, Nabbit, King Boo, Funky Kong, Kamek, and Petey Piranha, at least the Koopalings have some sort of canon appearance and are liked by some.

I think Nintendo might've learned their lesson because when they released the update that added BotW Link, they made him be a costume change for Link... even tho there is a slim chance that both Links could actually appear in the same race but BotW Link is an alternate costume for Link... I hope that when they release their next big Mario Kart, that they'll do what they did with Link for the other clone characters
