How Pipes are Cleaned in 2034

This is what happens, when you ask the World's Smartest Physicists to Clean a Pipe.
So this insane piece of engineering is also very satisfying. It attaches on to pipes like this, and uses guided ultrasonic vibrations to keep it clean. Now let's switch on and have a look. But while that's happening I gotta ask,
why do genius engineers care so much about pipes?
So apparently 2.5% of the world's CO2 is due to build up in pipes. Cuz when that happens, more energy is needed to push the same amount of fluid through. But before Altum invented this, the main solution was to take the pipe apart, clean it, or replace it.
So they engineered the smartest solution.
The way it works means pipes of any shape just never get dirty in the first place. For example, today, everyone from biogas to the world's largest tomato paste producer use this. You can learn more about Altum here, cuz look…

Have you never seen an ultrasonic cleaner? It's literally just vibrating the water really fast and taking advantage of water being incompressible

@@xenoxtrollik4150 I mean ultrasonic stuff is everywhere, from blades to cleaners, it's not that difficult to figure out that something called ultrasonic moves something really fast, though I did overestimate you guy's intelligence by thinking people would know water is incompressible

@@lunar_moth777 wtf are you Talking about where the hell do you have an ultrasonic blades? Is your lawnmower ultrasonic? Is your knife ultrasonic? Is your car ultrasonic? If so I would want to know where you would get a 1000km/h speed of a car. Its over 300m/s the fastest thing in my house is probably my pc fans which spin at around 40m/s. And dont even start about the water being incompresable because you just sound like every redditor that ever lived

I think it would be viable BUT most pipes we use are welded. Welding means microcracks. Microcracks propagate with vibration. So short term yes.. Doing this often? You would decrease the lifetime of the piping a lot, especially if it is pressured.

it is the same system used to clean iron pipes in old houses. attach an ultrasonic transducer to the accessible parts of the pipes and let the water flow for a few minutes, without the filters.

Having a tool you can put on and off when needed sounds superior to having to put it on every pipe constantly running. Then again they didn't say what industry or what cases. I'm sure there are many pipes that would benefit it. Sounds expensive is just all if it does require to be on 24/7. Gotta ask yourself if it is worth the cost over just buying solar panels or wind to power through the grime, and pay someone to clean it.
@-Evilempire-
@-Evilempire- 14 күн бұрын
@@dianapennepacker6854 I think that on an industrial scale, on pipes with large diameters over 4" it is useful to have this system fixed in strategic points. This integrated system seems convenient, because you don't have to dismantle part of the system to clean it, then you have to see if the time saved in do not dismantle the pipes is not nullified by the increased cleaning time. it cannot be kept on 24/7 because once the encrustations have been eliminated the ultrasound will attack the metal of the pipe (or any other material).

Loosely related: British water pipes lose 20% (!) of their water as opposed to 5% in Germany. This is because privatisation put profit over maintenance. Thanks for nothing, Tories! 😡 I hope you will lose badly in the upcoming elections.
