You can also automate external plugins if you click the thing in the top left corner and click "make editor thumbnail". You will have all the functions of the vst in one place and you can choose from them.

The midi for the loop loop for this song is actually findable in the apple loops section of logic, you get the same instrument used and everything, just drag it into the playlist

You can also automate external plugings by pressing on the knob button so it turns orange on the top of the screen then moving whatever knob u want to automate and the then right clicking the knob button at the top of the screen and click create automation clip, bam

How do you know exactly which plugin to use for every sound you want?....is it just out of memory that you've used these sounds so often that you know them?....or does each plugin come with a specific "type" of sound so you know where to go for a particular type? I'm just curious.
