Drew is lovely but she could turn it down a notch. She says similar things to all her celebrity guests and recently started this invasion of their personal space, so it all comes across as insincere and grating effusiveness, much like Fallon, especially since she couldn't name even one Mary song despite saying she's a lifelong fan of her music. It's not necessary to blow smoke or feign intimacy to get a good interview. Kelly Clarkson comes across as more sincere cos she's just trying to have a good conversation without all the emotional transference.

Mary J. Blige is so many things. But one thing I will say best describes her is survivor. She's one of the greatest artists of our generation and her music is the soundtrack to self discovery, self love and how you can come from nowhere and become a somebody.

I just love seeing both of these different opposite worlds coming together. They're both different but yet similar. Both of these amazing females have gone through toxic dysfunctional backgrounds but they both survived. I like their connection. They both can relate to each other but we all can. It shows everyone that no matter how famous or how much money, we all deal with past trauma and still a working in progress. I love what Mary said about loving yourself and being able to speak positivity to yourself. 💗🙏😇
