McLaren and Alonso eventually handed an engine capable of dominating F1 like no engine before and Alonso found himself out of F1 instead of dominating F1 like Max Verstappen is now.

What gets me is his iracing record. Because while he's the fastest irl driver in the world, it's still slightly different and you don't expect someone to be such a monster at different things - but he's won most races he's entered online and you know it's all top-split and it's just absurd, which just blows my brain apart. I don't even know what makes an alien an alien, and he's the alien of aliens. Where you can sit down with any car and basically max it out, no pun intended. Their laps look the same as ours, it's just that the car is going faster lol

There's a reason Max does loads of sim racing but never plays the F1 games outside of promos. If he said what he really thinks about the games they wouldn't be able to release it. Not that they are bad games but they are not trying to be realistic.

Mostly the G forces makes all the difference in real life, it's like torture

I thought Australia was a super boring track? Very hard to overtake. Last year was a lot of action but that was mainly crashes. And yes the G-forces on this track are the worst on the calendar I believe.

He is only one grandslam away from hamilton. Ver - 5, Ham - 6, Clark - 8. It is possible to break the record of 8 total grand slams this season. He also set a new lap record last race. At this moment he is 7 points up from last year after 2 races. He did miss one point for fastest lap last race. So he's right on track to score even more points and wins this year.

Its different, its relaxing to him, like a hobby, sim racing. That’s why he loves it

There is no need to choose if you can enjoy both. Only choose when there is need to.

You can't race in real life for 8 hours, or jump into a GT Car around Monza on the click of a button. It takes th phisicality out of it and you can focus on your skills instead of turning at breakneck speeds in overheating firesuits

Since sim racing is extremely challenging and satisfying to master in it's own way and also his life's passion I don't see why he would not love it.

yea they either messed with the car or just lied about the lap time because a low 1.21 is not fast at all. its around the 55% of submitted times on the track so below average. and this is world class sim racer max verstappend driving and his lap actually looks decent way better than what it takes to beat that time

watch 1:17, the delta in game is red. however just 1 second later when they show the real screen, the delta is green! im thinking that the real laptime shouldve been 1'17 or something like that

Do you want a real Sim, or a game? Racetracks are designed to be hard to navigate at speed. Common roadways are designed to be easy to navigate. If you are having trouble in a corner, that means the track designer and Sim are doing their job. It's supposed to be hard!

@@loopie007 What a stupid comment. I'm criticizing the implementation of the tarmac. The drivers are taking this corner nearly flat out in reality but in the game you have to tiptoe through there lest you bin it into the wall, hence the no grip complaint. And do you know which game this is? It's the F1 game. It's never been realistic and barely any of the circuits in the game are even laser scanned or something similar. They're still using implementations of tracks from almost a decade ago. The tracks are one of the biggest criticism of this series. I'm playing Le Mans Ultimate right now and their version of Bahrain beats the absolute snot out of Bahrain in this game. You can actually see and feel the elevation changes on the circuit and the scenery is up to date with how the track is. This game's version is way off and has been for a long time.

@@ericvandrutenIf I actually recorded every time I've lost it through there I'd probably have a 30 minute long video but I don't do that and I don't even play this game anymore anyway. If Codemasters ever gets away from the shitty Ego engine I might actually revisit the game but for now I've had enough of it, especially the versions post the acquisition by EA.

He spends a lot of time on sims at home. And as far as "sims" go F1 20xx games are one of the easiest to drive.

Kind of makes sense though, Australia has super sharp corners followed by massive long straights. Mess up the entry or exit into any of those long straights and your whole lap time is ruined. Easy at the beginner level but you need to be super accurate/precise at the elite level or you lose a lot of time.

This is not a 'sim', this is the F1 'game'. Sim is what he drives in his spare time with his Redline simracing team
