Railway should also reduce the time a train spends on origin stations. These trains should be moved to yards and should stay on main stations for at max 10 minutes. Trains on big stations like New Delhi, Agra, etc makes handling of trains and switching of tracks difficult for station staff. Even Europe had faced similar issues a few decades back. Now, most trains don't start from major station but from smaller stations nearby the main station.

Development especially high rise apartments will solve some of the severe shortage of residential units. Learn from Singapore . There should be an additional property tax for undeveloped property .

Such huge mills were owned by rich families of Mumbai at one time, but due to worker union strikes for not getting good pay they were closed down indefinitely. However families like Ruia used the lands from their pheonix mills and constructed big international level malls like pheonix market city in Kurla and Lower Parel area

To catch up high speed travel ,keeping in view of future railway tracks throughout India must be upgraded to 300kmph ,with fencing as one time investment for next 100yrs

High Speed Rail (above 200 km/h) is not feasible or practical everywhere. Certain routes should be high speed (above 300 km/h. Ideally, 360 km/h) but not every route. Even upgrading an existing route to 200 km/h is very expensive. Its not just the tracks which need to be changed for that. You need to upgrade everything for 200 km/h speeds - OHE wires, signalling, switches, platforms, fencing, etc. Here is the thing, to achieve speeds in excess of 140 km/h, all trains need to be fully AC. For that, we will have to stop manufacturing non AC coaches from this moment itself and start to make all trains AC.

this information is authentic. i live near level crossing aur ab inlog ne bhot bada overbridge bna dia he jo ki traffic ko upar se hi le jata he aur crossing bnd krdi. mujhe isse inconvience hoti he kyuki bridge dur padta he. ab smjhme aya kyu bnd kia level crossing

Also because we upgrade track in very slowly. We went from 90 to 110 then to 130 then to 160 . Not directly from 90 to 160. Same we are doing currently we are upgrading track only till 160 not to 200 even though our goal is 200 and we do have trains which runs at 200. Even if the cost for upgrading to 200 is more we can decrease the amount of tracks getting upgraded and focus on important sections when most trains travel . We jumped from steel coaches to Semi high speed Vande Bharat but won't do the same with tracks

Depends on location. In big cities there would be proper drainage and pumps so no water logging take place. In rural areas no such facilities available so we have to bear with it till monsoon ends.

It was cheaper to make Vande Bharat express & run it to max 120 - 130 kmph than upgrading infrastructure & allowing existing mail/express to run 160 - 180 kmph.

All wooden railway sleepers can be sold to furniture companies. Many companies around the world reprocess wooden railway sleepers into furniture e.g. tables, benches etc. Reason, wood is strong and beautiful when processed into furniture. There are many uses for this type of wood.

Not possible. Conventional rail can only be run Upto 200-220kmph. Any more increase in speed and we would need a new elevated special high speed rail track.

Main roads are well built so many fly overs so many huge sky scrapers but everything here is not comfortable to pedestrians, everything is disconnected and you need a car to go to anywhere. British Railway once introduced Tilting train called APT but was afailure due to vibrations and all .ICE3m from germany is tilting one but used for high speed. I dont think india using that technology for normal train ever.

First Vande Bharat was introduced in 2019 between Delhi And Varanasi with a Top speed of just 130 kph. We were happy and hoped that within next 1-2 years it will run at 160 kph+ as a true Semi high speed train. But Ghanta. Even after 4 years, its still running at 130 kph. In 4 years China would have made 700 kms Bullet train tracks with 250 kph capacity. And here they cannot upgrade existing tracks to handle 160 kph+ Where is all the money going? Currently there are 15 VB, but only 1 of them touches 160 kph. Whats the point of having semi high speed trains then? Just to tell during 2024 elections that we have added 100 new VB trains?

Till few years back there was no new fund for infrastructure update. Passenger tickets are heavily subsidised. Whatever funds they earn from costly freight service is used up to subsidise tickets for passengers. Even after taking money from goods service railways still make loss of around 60000 crores each year. Whatever railway infrastructure we have is mostly decades old. Even after modi govt when govt is actively infusing money in railways, tender process is slow in govt setup. Then there is also less window for maintenance time in heavily used tracks. Many tracks have 150% more trains on them than they are made for. Where will they have time to change the whole route in single setting?

@@SiddharthRaiyani what you are saying is not wrong. But whats the limit? Take 5 years to upgrade a 700 kms route? Or 10 years? Or 15 years? I know there are challenges but that does not mean such an important upgradation is indefinitely delayed. I have seen a lot of talks of Ashvini Vaishnav. But very little is spoken on speed upgradation of existing trains.

@@marcd5196 track and network upgradtion is a long term thing and thats exactly what this video addresses. our networks are old and congested. much more difficult to upgrade older networks than construting newer ones. its like trying to refurbish 1920s car model and keep it in running condition

People are not much care about these stuff .. people care only free current , free bus pass , free pension , free money for women , students , children, kids , unemployed people. In order get money one should go to govt school to time pass and get money, after 10 th unemployed youth money they get .. later someone they marry now both gets only unemployed money + women unemployed money. After some days kids , they food , medical.. everything..free .. middle class tax payers r there , collect as much as u can .. Example: in Karnataka 200 units free ,after that 1 unit may cost 25 rs , who knows or cares... Or registration of house tax may b doubled or any licences fee may doubled or tripled or get money from banks ... This is all my Guess

jub trains introduce hui thi tub broad gauge zyada power or train ki stability at turns ki wajha se use kiya tha or jub tak india independent hu tub tak 54k km ka track tha jisme maority broad gauge tha fir usske baad zyada taraha ke system rakhna feasible nahi tha.

Broad gauge is better. It’s just that we have less RnD in making new trains so we can’t make new faster trains for broad gauge. So if we import bullet train we have to make standard gauge tracks otherwise if we make our own research we can very well make bullet trains for broad gauge. It just that such research take 10-20 years just to make trains that too only if govt keeps on actively supporting that research. So it’s better to buy from foreign for now.

@@SiddharthRaiyani for any hsr they have to anyway make new tracks because in our current railway tracks their is many curves ,old tunnel which reduces the speed of the train and converting then for hsr will cost high.

​@@SiddharthRaiyani HSR is technically better, stable and more reliable on SG rather than BG . this is a widely accepted belief and practice in the whole world. very few countries like finland, russia, spain etc have some HSR on old legacy BG tracks . almost all new HSR tracks are on SG now worldwide. more importantly , running trains at 300-320 on our ground level is not possible due to human and animal intervention besides other issues .
