I too have been to his garden in Fiji it's just wonderful! He is revered there and did a lot for charity.. I found this narrative disappointing with repetitive emphasis on him being gay instead of the work he did as an actor and philanthropist. Unfortunately many wonderful people were forced to hide their true selves in the past and we can learn from that to become more accepting.

I agree, especially the practice of ‘outing’ someone. Think about it, if how one expresses one’s sexuality is protected by privacy laws, as in, “what they do in their private life is no one’s business but their own” sentiment; why, on earth, would you make it everyone’s business by outing them? I like to keep my life (mostly) private, I have had experiences that are difficult for others to comprehend, they have no frame of reference. Although they have shaped me, I don’t like talking about them.
