If Pakistan has the right to expel Afghan migrants, why should we question Europeans about tightening their immigration policies, particularly concerning illegal migrants? I recently encountered someone who has lived in the UK for over 30 years but cannot speak a word of English. Their genuine concern about not integrating into society is evident, as most of them tend to form their own mini countires in suburban areas.

i agree with ur concern regarding intergration but Afghans are refugees not immigrants. Immigrants usually go through proper channels and have skills, most of them enter there either on work visa or as students. There is a big difference among these two.

I understand the distinction between refugees and migrants. It's not uncommon to use 'migrants' as an umbrella term for various types of people movements. As far as I know, currently, it's illegal Afghan migrants being sent back by the Pakistani government, not the legally recognized UN refugees, who have been granted more time. At least Western governments are much more lenient with genuine refugees and don't force them to return. Some even allow bringing their whole family later including Parents, all cost paid by tax payers. Not all Afghans are refugees, but regardless of the status as migrants or refugees, integration issues remain a common issue.

a bit over dramatisation. there is some validity to the arguments presented by Nigel barrage (I don't agree with his view point ) 1>immigrants coming here and not speaking the language you need to speak the language of the country to leverage what it has to offer 2>education: most immigrants come from countries here with very low skills and with limited language they struggle for years and are some times drain oil the public services and public resents that 3>culture : immigrants from certain countries have issues after coming to this country . they love to come to this country and once in the country then they demand that this country have the same laws and culture as the country they left in the first place . (how irnonic) over all UK is a great country. if you are willing to work hard and learn and contribute to the society and make a good like then yes it offers that. if you are looking to live on benefits and a council home and free load services with 6 kids and bringing every single cousin on marriage visa here then sadly this is not the right place. from a British Asian. a higher rate taxpayer.and someone who has made this country home and is integrated fully with British culture and society.
