Ronaldinho didnt destroy his own career , he himself said that the moment football went into the direction where having fun on the field wasnt allowed it lost all meaning to him since he didnt want to play the game like a robot.

@Imotekh the Stormlord he's not wrong, 2 seasons after winning the Ballon D'Or he was so out of shape. I remember thinking back in the day what's happened. As someone who has seen the very beginning of Ronaldinho "O Bruxo", even at youth international football tournaments, Ronaldinho's 'peak' in professional football lasted until 2006 at 26 (after his 3rd season at Barça). That summer's World Cup saw the beginning of the decline of the Ronaldinho that everyone knew him to be. Everything after that was more in moments and flashes but not as consistently as it once was. Barcelona were also affected because his last 2 seasons at the club, they won 0 trophies and he left for Milan. Ronaldinho at Milan, Mineiro, Fla, Flu and Queretaro was a player playing on pure talent but not at his explosive and undeniable best that brought him all those individual accolades.

Point being I don’t think ur from Spain at all, probably some random American kid obsessed with these videos and highlights (which is perfectly fine) and try to act like you know a lot more then you do, maybe I’m wrong but I just don’t understand why people feel the need to say that shit it’s pointless tbh doesn’t matter where ur from you can know great players when you see them

He had played at a high level for 8-9 years.Managed to get rank number 3 in the most free-kick goals in football history after Juninho and Pele within his "not trying so hard to stay very long" career. For me his career is much longer than Eden Hazard because within those years he had been brilliant. Messi didn't feel like he could use the no.10 jersey for like 1 or 2 seasons after Ronaldinho left Barca.

Tragic honestly, sometimes things in life are truly never meant to be, it's just one of those prime examples honestly! 😢 Ronaldinho was one of my childhood heroes growing up, especially whenever I saw him freestyle and kiss the ball. Truly the samba wizard. 🔥🤙🏻⚽💛💚💙🇧🇷 Made me really fall in love with football along with Kaka as well as R9, and I've been a fan of the Brazilian national team ever since I was 6 years old, and then of course my eyes have met more amazing players within clubs like CR7, whose unfortunately going through struggles as of lately so it does really hurt seeing Ronaldinho and CR7 in this state. 😞 He was very good in PSG as well. ❤ I love and root for Real Madrid, but I love Barcelona as well, and even though I really wish he played for RMA back then; that doesn't take away the fact that his career in Barcelona was amazing. Thanks for the dedicated effort to explain his story. Regardless of the poor life choices; I still find him to be one of the people who made my childhood a truly better and happy place, and it was a great story on how he managed to ascend into greatness after the unfortunate passing away of his father. It didn't last for many years but it was a pleasure seeing him play!! I think the most upsetting part is the fact that he went to jail and the passport was fake.

@@lexxihd5843 what I mean is partying is a form of expression for someone fun loving, jovial and outgoing nature. On or off the field he expressed the same. That's why he was a flamboyant, creative and dribbling wizard attacking midfielder. Not some stale pragmatic and physical CB or CDM. The lad on or off the field was flamboyant. You tame that, you've taken away his identity and he will be confused... Such players just let them be they want to enjoy football but they also want to live life outside of football. There was never a time that Ronaldinho never partied. At PSG he never used to show up to training. Many times during the week he never showed up to training, only showed up on the Friday and went straight to the sick room. His own teammates said this. Luis Fernández who was the coach at the time. got fedup with his discipline and started taking him off in games as punishment and that's they couldn't co-exist anymore. This was not just a Barcelona or a AC Milan or a Mineiro, or a Fla, Flu problem. This went on since he turned pro at Grêmio

Its no surprise he ended up bankrupt, drunk or drug addicted, its a very common ending for a certain kind of player lets say.. we call it a certain kind of "rich", but you reality deniers censor using that one word for guys like him who achieve heights, then end up broken down losers.

Both were more objective, but Ronaldinho and Ronaldo were more unpredictably creative when playing, and could probably execute plays that would have been more difficult for Messi, or specially fro C. Ronaldo to execute.

Sounds like referee syndrome... Ronaldinho still to this day is the most entertaining football player to grace the stage ever. Had he been the way you expect him to be he wouldn't of been what he was. There's no magic without Tragic. End of story.

This video is perhaps a little unfair to Ronaldinho because it seems to measure him with Messi or Ronaldo's level of professionalism. You have to realise that he won the World Cup in 2002, a thing that players only dream about. By the time he was 25 years old, he had won the World Cup, the Balon d'Or, the Champions League and the league with Barcelona. I don't know about you, but a lot of players will do anything to have a CV like that, especially at 25 years of age. Besides, he was a millionaire and still young. I do not support his criminal activities such as the alleged money-laundering or passport faking, but you cannot blame him for enjoying life. We must remember that footballers are first and foremost human beings, and for players who come out of such poverty and hardship, Ronaldinho's achievements would be more than enough to satisfy them. The tendency nowadays is to measure the worth of athletes by the numbers they can churn out, i.e. statistics. That is both stupid and unfair. You cannot measure the worth of players by the number of titles they won. Back in 2005/06, even winning one Balon d'Or was a tremendous achievement. But since we now live in the Messi-Ronaldo era where they both have won twelve of those titles between them, we should not undermine the value of winning even one.
