Russell Westbrook saved his career with the LA Clippers by stepping up on the brightest stage and performing at an elite level in the 2023 NBA playoffs. Despite Kawhi Leonard and Paul George injuries the Clippers are putting up a huge fight against the championship favorites in the west, the Phoenix suns. Now Westbrook will likely resign with the clippers in the 2023 NBA offseason and get a decent contract!

I think the biggest knock against Russ in his last few stints is that he was always second fiddle. Now he gets to be the man up front in terms of face of a team. Not being LeBron/AD or Harden or Beal's sidekick. Will he likely be the number 2 to Kawhi? Yeah. But he's going to be the locker room leader because Kawhi supposedly is a more reserved guy. On top of that, i think LAC wanted Russ the person, not just Russ the triple double.

Healthy Kawhi is a better all around player than Lebron for the simple fact he can play well with Westbrook and be just as effective off the catch than with the ball. Paul George and AD are very close imo but I like Paul more cause he has more character and aggressiveness

People talking about how Westbrook turns the ball over but literally not to long ago for there career. Westbrook averaged 3.8 turnovers. Lebron averaged 4.8 so if your going to talk about Westbrooks turnovers keep that same energy for lebron. And you can no longer say oh it’s cause he plays point and has the ball more like they said with argument against Jordan. Cause Westbrook’s is a point guard as we’ll. So you lost that argument.

@@zainuddinahmed8610 .....he basically had an open invitation from Coach Billy Donovan to come to Chicago. I think he chose the right organization and if he has enough money saved to do it, he should accept a 1 season vet min deal with The Clippers. The only thing Russ is missing is that elusive championship ring and when healthy, we all know Kawhi Leonard is one of the players that can help get him there. I also like the connection between him and Coach Ty Lue. The Bulls and Wizards probably could offer the $11 mil MLE, so it would depend on what's more important to Russ. He's getting up there in years so i would understand getting that last big money(you never have enough millions...😊) The Wizards are the team that i think could really be sneaky good if Russ went back there(i think they could lead the league in scoring with Russ at pg and a spacing 5 in Portzingis) but i don't see the defense needed to compete for a title. I can see The Clippers having a championship level defense with Kawhi, PG, Zubac, and Russ.... I'm not sure what i feel about The Bulls? Russ, LaVine, and Vucevic would be nice but Vucevic and DeRozan seem more like halfcourt players. Russ and Zach could fly playing with more athletic teammates!
