I'm not sure where the drone was but the only thing I can think of is it would have been picked up by radar. The first two videos that were released showed the fighter jets flying towards the drone towards the front. There was drone video of it. This video shows jets flying underneath the drone. There was video footage from the drone that was showing the propellers or propeller. Some of these videos show what seems to be special effects. Maybe it's just me but this doesn't make any sense. It is questionable how there are many cameras at different angles. If someone wants to take out a drone, the easiest way would be to use a missile. I could be wrong. Pardon my confusion. Maybe we will find out more.

A large quantity of jet fuel, dumped at speed might produce sufficient force to bend the propeller of the drone. Direct contact was likely to down both the drone and the fighter jet. This is not an excuse for the behaviour of the Russians.
