When I was six, I had two hampters (yes they were Dwarves). I let them breed, so that they'd have a litter, but I didn't know Sheila would suspend gestation and have MANY litters off that one time... I ended up having as many as 24 hamsters at once...

Lol my hamster wouldn't stop having baby and we had over all most a 100 so we give them away to people and they send video if their doing ok they have a better life now and they have a bigger house I'm happy we give them over to people who can take care of them and love them

What parent lets a 6 year old breed hamsters that are such vulnerable, tiny animals, the irresponsibility of some parents are making so mad. I hope your parents at least took the responsibility and cared for all the 24 hamsters with food, vet care and enough of space. Totally not your fault that happened though if you whete just 6 years old.

We have a winter white dwarf. His name is Dumpling and he's quite spicy. He's a rescue from a pretty unfortunate situation and despite being pretty tame otherwise, he's just absolutely out for blood when he sees a hand. Doesn't seem like he does it out of stress, he's probably just deeply confused about what a hand is.

I got a Campbell's about a month ago named Buddy Burger who is the same way. Oddly when I wear gloves he's totally content with them, takes treats, climbs in my hand, only does gentle test nips. Bare skin, though? He thinks I'm food. Not like aggressive biting, just harder and harder test bites until he draws blood or I flinch. Tried changing soap to a different non-scented variety, tried not handling his food directly. It's only when he's in his enclosure, though. When he's running around in the bathtub, he doesn't nip. So maybe it is some territorialism, but I wear my gloves when I'm taking him out of his enclosure to clean it or to change things. Anyway, if they're nippy, try wearing gloves that have your scent. If they nibble and get no reaction, they tend to lose interest. At best, they'll learn to not see your scent as threatening. At worst.. you'll at least be able to handle them without pain.

Mooncake's temperament and behavior are extremely similar to my hybrid dwarf Daifuku which is very reassuring to me as he is my first hamster. Daifuku also prefers to burrow and sleep underground and is friendly but fast! This does limit my time with him and his playpen time. There is nowhere in my small apartment safe for true free roam with such a small animal, I almost lost him in the baseboards the first time so he has a large puppy playpen for a change of environment.

Taro’s personality is very similar to one of my hamsters, Cupid! Love to see these cuties, they’re so adorable and round. Mooncake’s temperament reminds me of my other hamster who passed just last week, Pepper.

Last year I had a small little hampter for 1 day. I found it while walking my dog, it was hiding in the bushes. I have no experience with hamsters, I love them but I mostly watch KZfaq videos about them since no one in my house like small animals. It was wet, very small and thin, I could it's little bones when I gently grabbed it. I bought a hamster house, bedding and food for it to stay while I tried to contact vets that knew about exotic pets. The poor thing was very sick and thin. I was a mess, crying the whole time the vets talked to me about the prices and procedures. It was put in intensive care immediately but it sadly passed away that night. They told me it was a young male russian hamster and they were very grateful that I took him in and cared for it as much as I did since some people wouldn't even care or would even be scared of him for being a rodent. They told that at least his last hours he had a warm bed to lay on and lots of food around him. I called him Bichito, and buried him on my garden under a beautiful flower. We weren't together for long, maybe four hours max, but he was my little companion and I loved him 🐹

Aw, poor little hamster guy! Your comment almost left me in tears. Too bad the story didn't have a happy end. But at least he didn't die alone and cold. Sounds like he might have escaped his original home, and found his way outside.

I had a winter white named Meekue she was the sweetest hamster but very serious about her food she loved to nibble on my fingers and enjoyed free roaming. I miss her very much!

My first pet was a russian dwarf hamster named Marshmallow. He was very good with me despite me being an animal obsessed 6 year old. RIP Marshy, you were a great friend.

I had a hampter and looked like yours, he was calm (he sometimes bite) but I loved him anyways. He passed away at 3,5 years, in 2022. He was such a beautiful hamster❤🕊️

Only ever had one hamster that screamed and she was a dwarf 🤣. I've had hamsters since childhood. And hamsters/ rats in adulthood. But only ever had 1 dwarf. We adopt unwanted hamsters mainly and give them their forever home. But since losing our last hamster (Nena we had for 2 1/² years), we are having a break. "Ronnie mooncake Pickering" made me laugh 😂

My hamster looks exactly like Taro. And boy does he nibble. Its his customary greeting to chew on my hands when i interact with him. Ive had him 1.5 years and i think thats just his personality.

I remember my hamster would always find ways to escape and he did on a few occasions. I remember my mom waking me up cause he was chewing in her dresser. I was still sleepy so I was confused but we had a good laugh in the end. I miss ya buddy and would give anything to have him back. Fly high chandler

I had guinea pigs but not for long when I was 7 or 8 years old. Now, 28 years later I wish I had them again. Both guinea pigs and hamsters are incredibly cute like yours in your video!🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹
