I love JD's description that the Church has a thousand doors and you choose which door you want to enter. I think this is the same impression I had when I became Catholic, except that I described it by saying, the Church is like Disneyland -- there's something for everyone.

Magnificent splendid testimony,I’ve noticed that most people who read scriptures don’t have any understanding of what Jesus spoke in the gospel.Especially the part when Jesus left the temple with his Apostles and his Apostles said to Jesus teacher behold all these’s beautiful buildings and stones and Jesus said to them do you see all these buildings there shall not be stone left upon stone that shall not be thrown down, then Jesus says to his Apostles I say to you do not be led astray for I tell you that many shall come TEACHING IN MY NAME SAYING I AM HE THE CHRIST AND SHALL TEACH MANY IN MY NAME AND LEAD MANY ASTRAY.WOE what is Jesus revealing,lo and behold aren’t there numerous denominations teaching in JESUS NAME?🤔😯😳

Loved this! You seem very happy in knowing who God made you to be. Some people have access to spiritual directors and others of us just kind of flop around hoping we are doing as He wills. Less sin could be a sign. To know with confidence who He made you to be and constantly strive to be so has got to be terrific.

Fascinating story, but sadly once again the guest didn't say anything about being born again or receiving new life and new beginning from God. I know because that is what I was missing as a Catholic.

The Protestant idea of being born-again in a single instant (in your own subjective experience) without baptism was spread by Billy Graham in the 1950s. If you go back to the roots of Protestantism in 16th-century Europe, you will find that the Reformers had not heard of such an idea. I believe the ancient Catholic idea of Divinization, of union and reconciliation with God by modeling our lives on Jesus, is much more powerful and helpful for spiritual growth. Honestly, I've found Protestantism to be fool's gold. The real treasure is in the Catholic faith.

This term “born again” is being misused by both Protestants and Catholics to describe a charismatic experience of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus says “you must be born again of water and the Spirit,” He is referring to water baptism, by which we become children of God. We are reborn into the family of Christ. Charismatic experiences can be uplifting in the moment, but Baptism puts a permanent mark on the soul. It’s important to remember that the Sacraments are powerful and life-changing, and they give us Grace regardless of whether or not we feel anything special.

@po18guy Jesus said "Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into kingdom of God". This is often misunderstood . In Scripture, the word"water" stands for the Holy Spirit, and especially so in John's gospel. From Jn.4 John 4:14 [14]But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. From ch.7John 7:38 [38]He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. " Water" in the Bible stands for the Holy Spirit, not baptism. Then we will see in Acts 10 that the Holy Spirit is given before baptism. Acts 10:44-45 [44]While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. [45]And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. And also ch. 11Acts 11:14-15 [14]Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. [15]And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then returning to Jn. 3, Jesus described the character of the Holy Spirit John 3:8 [8]The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Note that we can see by this saying that being "born of the HS" is an inner experience unlike baptism. No one can even predict it, because it is the sovereign gift of the HS. You cannot schedule it in the bulletin. It is like the wind. Receiving new life in baptism is not biblical, but thanks for your input.
