The only thing I miss is a strap in the case to hold the guitar in place. It's great and safe when it's closed, but I know of 1 bass player who wanted to carry the singers cheap guitar to the van. The singer hadn't closed his bag and the guitar fell out. That bass player still feels guilty.

Funny coincidence. ;) You recently suggested this case to me on Facebook. I really had it in the back of my mind since, now that I have my Sterling Majesty, i was wrestling between a case (Music Man 5893) or this bag. Although I am not much moving around, but i am looking for something to keep this fine guitar when I am not hanging it on the wall mount. This bag looks pretty firm, should also help in the winter to keep the guitar from too much temperature changes (lots of heating, open window etc). I think I will get that next. ;) Appreciate your help recenlty, and loving your vids. My gf and I both do. Wish i could have you for my guitar teacher, but you're just too far away for that. So I guess i stick with your videos. ;) And, great job, as usual !

I watched this with interest because I use a Reunion Blues case/bag which is pretty similar. All my gigs are fly-in gigs, so I have to put my guitar in the aircraft hold. I was using a good moulded plastic case, but it was heavy, and its shape was awkward - the final straw was when it got stuck in a baggage chute in Gatwick Airport, and basically closed a terminal. I realised then that I needed another solution. The Reunion Blues case has been great at protecting the guitar from bumps and bangs. What it doesn't do well, however, is protect the guitar from the low temperatures in the hold. I've had problems with the neck on my gigging guitar, including frets popping out of their slots during the flight. That guitar's neck has an oil and wax finish, so it may be that the lack of a "proper" finish means the guitar can't withstand the temperature drops. I've just bought a Mexican-made Charvel to replace my gigging guitar, and it has a urethane finish, so I hope it'll withstand the temperature drops better. But ideally, it would be great if a company like Reunion Blues would add a thermal lining to their cases to help with hold temperatures.

I got one and yes, it's absolutely save and worth double the price. This extra case is awesome! Looks like you could even keep food and drinks cold, due to this isolation. I'm not really into that hook for the front pocket, but the overall design is so neat. Looks better and feels at least as nice as my older case from gator, that is indeed a little more expensive.

I see Thomann has a less safe dual gig bag for electric/acoustic, but I don’t see options for solid and semi hollow guitars. I could design something to fit the larger semi hollow into the too big for that acoustic side adding extra protection, but the time cost and effort would add up. Something safe like this for an LP and 335 style would be nice.

Real world test #1: 90 lb amp stacked next to the guitar in the back of the van falls on it when you hit a bump. Real world test #2: Wearing it back pack style you walk, (or run,) into a low doorway and catch the neck.
@EytschPi42
@EytschPi42 5 жыл бұрын
the board I threw on it was even heavier than an amp. WHY would you stack gear so that an amp could even fall on it... the gigbag would always have to be higher than everything else and on top of the rest of the gear. Walking into a doorway? I would say you are safe... the layers of plastic are so strong that nothing should happen.

All composers should invert a variety of modules, and (if this composes dynamic phrases), proceed to sense linearly until the best result is achieved. In short, the recording must never orchestrate the counterpoint. This composition contextualises all sorts of improvisations, before transposing somewhat quartally, and finishing with an extremely super-microtonal series of 'resonance-sonorities' (as I like to call them). It is plainly obvious that the act of studying chordal fermatas causes one to become extended (and sometimes even hyper-gestural), which is why I deny this approach, preferring instead to simply improvise hyper-symbolically. I was first introduced to the concept of 'semitonally-discontinuous synchronisation-unities' last year, and it has allowed me a greater depth of synergies, especially whilst contextualising the ultimate modulation. Unlike traditional arias, I aim to develop concertos, including a highly ultra-atonal reverberation that cultivates all notions of subtractive modules.

Incidentally, where would one find a gigbag for an EDS-1275 style doubleneck? I think they're even rarer than flying-V gigbags. I once slipped and fell while carrying my new Squier Strat to a Bahnhof. (I was taking her to a shop for a professional setup.) The cheap gigbag failed to protect her from bouncing off the road surface and sustaining a ding on the bottom edge, near the comfort cut. I sure could have used a SafeCase then.
