So even though the United States decides to collectively reject and lump Mexicans, Mexico is also a racist nation itself, containing unspoken racial hierarchies that directly influence class, wealth, and who has power. A professor with a phd who is "white passing" in america might get some stigma, but a professor with a phd that has dark skin, indigenous, or african descent will receivce more stigma stemming from both Nations.
