love this video, love Ohtani since Fighters era. Last year I made a trip to his hometown in Iwate Japan and visited the places he grew up in - from the hospital he was born, primary school, high school, batting cage, little league field, to all the spots that display his stuff, the city hall, a couple of train stations, hotel, even a rice field... It was a true memorable trip. This year I'm planning to see the Ohtani play in Dodgers stadium! BTW I recommend another vid by the channel 60 minutes "Shohei Ohtani | 60 Minutes Archive" (the vid is not 60 min, just 13 min or so )

Ohtani breaks the internet everytime he posts something on social media... Congratulations to Shohei and his wife! I hope they'll have a long and happy marriage! I also hope the rumors are true about her... ex-basketball player, tall, athletic, down-to-earth and cute. Just perfect for Shohei and this mirrors his own parents' relationship so well (their kids will be sports gods for sure) Although he's just getting started with the Dodgers and recovering from TJ, expect great things in 2024 from The Sho as well. He's playing for a contender, he's happy and supremely confident. And if Sasaki comes next year, oh boy...

Why are people hating on the dodgers because they tried to make their team better the dodgers been the best regular season team for the last ten years they just haven’t been able to win in playoffs like most teams in baseball the braves have lost to the Phillies in playoffs the last two years and no one criticize the braves make you wonder the Phillies got beat by diamond backs to and they were up 3to 2 but they only criticized the dodgers

The money is only deferred when going from the bank to Ohtani. Dodgers will owe him nothing in 10 years when his contract is over. The bank will be the ones that owe him. Dodgers simply put 46 million at the end of each year into a 10 year savings account and at the end of those 10 years the bank gives it to Ohtani and It will be worth 70 million rather than 46 million because of the collected interest. If Ohtani wasn’t willing to structure his contract this way he wouldn’t have gotten anywhere near 700 million, probably 500 million which is what the Dodgers are basically paying him .
