How should we "test the spirits"?

The paranormal and supernatural are an active part of today’s pop culture. Call in psychics, the Long Island Medium, demons, zombies… How can we as Christians guard ourselves and test the spirits?

I hear spirits nearly every moment now. A very recent development after 15 years wandering being led through the desert. Does anyone know anyone this is also happening to that i might speak with. I definitely need prayer about and for this. Its beautiful speaking with the Holy One(s) very unnerving hearing the evil one(s). This goes beyond just hearing for me. There are also physical sensations. Some beautiful some disgusting. Please pray for us all. If anyone knows or speaks to Pastor Mark I'd love to thank him for his Holy labors and speak to him if possible. Please pray for me as I also pray for you. God Bless you Pastor Mark and all who believe in Jesus the Messiah.

Even God's angels know better not to be worshipped. Unlike the fallen angels they are duplicates of Lucifer. They welcome to be worshipped. Amen and yes indeed we need to test. 🙌🏽

How do you test the spirits without committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? This has me worried

Ask them about Jesus. Evil spirits will never admit that Jesus came in the flesh

What I first listened to this, I though he said, God creates Saten's counterfeits. It was "God creates and Saten Counterfeits. ha

God creates satin's counterfeits or God creates certain counterfeits? Help me understand this

When anything spiritual or supernatural happens the proper and biblical way to know if it's of God or not in to ask the spirit behind what happened if it confesses yes that Jesus Christ did come in the flesh. If it answers yes it's of God and if not it is a demonic antichrist spirit. Just to be clear you won't hear the answer from the spirit with your physical ears but you will hear it with your spiritual ears. 1 John 4:1-3 [1]Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. [2]Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: [3]And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

What if someone confesses Jesus came in the flesh but doesn't bare fruit? Would they be the counterfeit or a spirit from God with attacks from demons?

@@angelmurphy9262 well even a false prophet can say yes Jesus Christ came in the flesh but they would still be a false prophet. 1st John 4: 1-3 is about testing actual spirits and not human people. As for a person claiming to follow Jesus Christ but not having any fruit of the Holy Spirit that would be a red flag and something to be concerned about

⁠@@j.h.5765Testing prophets is about whether their prophecies come true or not. Testing anyone is by their fruits. Do they have good fruits or bad fruits. We will know Jesus’ disciples by their love for one another. As for the spirit test, I have found that even false prophets will fail this test. Some spiritualists will say “Jesus came, but rose spiritually, not in the flesh”, or “Jesus was a myth”, or “Jesus came in the flesh, but wasn’t God or the prophesied Messiah(Christ).” Isa. 9:6(a child is born, given, shall be called mighty God, everlasting Father) Or Muslims will say “Jesus Christ came in the flesh, but wasn’t crucified.” As the true Messiah was predicted to do so in Scripture.Ps.22, Isa.53 Or Atheist Scholars might say “Jesus came in the flesh and was crucified, but didn’t rise again, wasn’t the predicted Christ” so they would say CAME past tense instead of the biblical IS come in the flesh, referring to God’s eternal nature commonly being represented in present tense. So each word in the sentence must be attested and not conterfeit. “Jesus Christ is come in the flesh!” Jesus, the prophesied Christ, who is God, IS come in the flesh, died as the prophesied Christ, and IS risen eternally as prophesied for our sins. Also, the Holy Spirit will never contradict the Word of Scripture. God cannot lie. If the spirit you’re hearing sounds like they’re contradicting scripture, you better make extra sure you get a valid confirmation explaining the paradox or you might be hearing from the wrong side. Feed on the word day and night my friends!
