Hey guys!! I just got the 3 new quads I ordered from Roen last night and I wanted to get a look up with the Eyes On Me Quad! Also, thank you thank you thank you for doing swatches of all of the quads next to each other on your arm. That's the only way to really see how similar and nuanced they are between each other. I really want a Roen quad but they've not come out with a colour story yet where I feel all four shades will actually suit me - I'm not sure why they keep focusing on the same tones over and over again because I can't imagine many consumers want multiple similar palettes 🙃I'm surprised they don't make more singles if that is their focus.

I like cooler tones they came out with the 52° one I’m sorta interested in. I also love the temperature idea of pallets. Gren could be 86° Taupe 60° blue could be 32° idk but varied tones. Always the orange gold colors. I look at their palettes and don’t realize it’s a new release until I read the name.

I bought 11:11 when on sale on boxy because I was intrigued by the way HLP waxed poetic about it 😄. I was afraid it would crease horribly on my 52 years old lids, but the Fenty primer did not let me down and the shadows didn’t move at all.

I've got the cool toned one and let me tell you it is stunning, especially for blue eyes. I also have the 11:11 which I also love, but the cool toned one is so special, especially with all the other warm toned quads they have. You've inspired me to break them out today!

Thank you for this beautiful comparison swatches - your effort is much appreciated! I’ve had a similar surprising experience with the creasing of these shadows - I normally can’t stand creasing, but there’s something about the *way* they crease that makes a look special. I think it’s because they’ve got a “dirty sparkle” to start with, so they end up looking particularly grungey when they crease. I would love an update on your experience with the Gold Lust palette.

I heard that the first few quads (the warm/cool/11:11) were released when the original owner was still involved. All the others have come out after she left, and she took all her formulas with her. They can still use it for the products she came up with, but they can’t make new products with it…if that makes makes sense? So basically, they can’t make new palettes with that creamy flaky formula that made them so popular in the beginning. I feel like they are just messing around with different ideas ever since trying to find something that works as well. They are all still beautiful though ☺️

roen is out of my budget so i obviously haven't tried it with these shades specifically, but the eye shadow base by gloss gods is something i have been swearing on for locking down creme and liquid eye shadow. i got really oily and creasy lids so i am fully amazed every time it works

Thank you Lauren!!! I’ve been looking forward to this video just to see the comparison between the palettes. I was missing the 75, Gold Lust and the newest Eyes on Me, and wasn’t too sure if 75 and Gold Lust would be too similar. In my opinion, they are very similar and I prefer the colors and textures of the older palette. Just placed my order for the 75 and Eyes on me palette 😊

So glad you did this! On Roen’s site Gold Lust and Eyes on Me look almost identical to me, but now I see that they’re pretty different. This is exactly what I wanted, thank you! I wanted to know the difference between the Eyes on Me palette and the Gold Lust…you’re right! On their website they don’t look that much different! I have the 75 degree warm palette…I like it and I’m happy I have it, but I don’t love it. The other two seem more up my alley. The eyes on me looks gorgeous on you! Thank you so much ❤️

I bought the 11:11 quad from Boxy, then went to YT and saw this video sitting at the top of my feed, ha. Happily, that's the quad from your video that appealed to me the most, so I'm super happy with my purchase and can't wait to play with it! I'm not super big on neutrals but recently decided I want some "special" (see: super sparkly) neutral shades that get me as excited as my colorful indie shadows.

All of these quads are very pretty. For me & my makeup needs, the quad you used in the video is probably the only one I could purchase to use as a stand alone palette since it contains mattes. The other quads would definitely be companion palettes I used with matte shadows. Since I already own so many shadows in these types of shades & I have very sunken/ hooded eyes with deep creases/lines, I don't think cream shadows that don't set would really work for me. But I totally get why other people would love these textures/colors. They look gorgeous & aren't overly fussy or complicated to apply. I'm sure you will enjoy your purchase :)

Thank you for this video. I agreed with your comments that the quads are very similar to one another. I have all the quads except the Eyes on Me, and maybe this will be the first one I'll skip because it's too rosy for my liking. I really love the "green" shade in 75 degree. I hope they will release more yellow/ green leaning quad in the future.

Thank you for doing the comparison swatches! Actually just yesterday I was searching them on KZfaq because I didn’t realise that they had two new quads out. I have the first three and I love them. Funnily enough I hit pan on the cool palette, despite of the fact that I didn’t think I would use that one. Looking at the quads I don’t have, I think they are so similar to the quads that I have, I dont think I need them.

I looooove my cool tone quad. Out of all of the ones shown in the video I don't think any particularly stand out, there's always at least one shade that I know I wouldn't use. But it is tempting!

On the rare occasion I have got the Roen shadows to stay put and not crease - primer, powder shadows underneath, the roen on top, a lot of prayer and dipping them in the sacred pool under a full moon. I have the 11:11 quad and love the texture of the shades, but I use it a lot less than I hoped I would. I also crave the 75 warm but I’ve held off because I’m just not sure I’ll get the use out of it that I want. I do like watching where the brand is going given the change of ownership early on though.

I love the roen quads. I have the first 4 they put out. I wonder if they did powders to lock down the creams? I hope not because the way roen shadows wear is part of the appeal for me. It’s the only shadow that creases that I feel like it looks like an intentional messy look.

I like the 1111 I think the best out of the warmer colors . I've got to say, I'm not too chuffed with Roen adding powers in with cream products. I thought we decided as makeup enthusiasts to keep them separate entirely or with a little protector over the creams? Lauren, I'm doubling down on my recommendation of the OG cool toned palette, the slightly cool toned neutral bronze is right up your alley and I think the purple will look amazing with your eye color

Gorgeous, Lauren. Do you have to “break the seal” of each shadow to get full impact of the shadows?

I have the cool palette and the 11:11, and those cream formulas do need to be warmed up a bit with your finger to get the full impact, and I would say you gotta dig in a little more the first time you use them to 'break the seal'.

I was a little weary when I heard Nikki was leaving her own brand.... cuz I had just started to get invested in the small original collection. But I had to pick this one up only because of the powder addition.... it's a nice palette, just disappointed that the multi-glitter formula seems to have left with her.

I really loved the original 3 palettes (75, 52 and 11:11) and it disappoints me that they seem to be moving away from the super textured, dynamic formulas that drew me to them originally. I'm even more disappointed there's a plain brown matte shadow in the new palette. For the same price point as the other palettes it feels like an unfortunate inclusion for something I can get elsewhere in my collection. It feels like they're sacrificing their unique charms to be more palatable for the average consumer.

I got all the Violet Voss pallette too aww why I have pallets I haven't opened yet everything is so cheap but it adds up quick first I did a order of skin care..198=200 something then remember that you were talking about the sale and I loaded my cart threw the e mail then clicked on your link and my cart was still full so another 200 on makeup threw your link😊😜

The textures in the original quads are what make them interesting…the new ones don’t do it for me. That and the repetitive color stories have made me lose interest in the brand.
