That is the main thing I liked about you Carolyn is that you are a naturalist person that lives how you want to live and how you want to be and you don't have a made-up face and a made-up life because your living how you want to be and that's really cool

I can really relate to your comments about tolerance! My best friend of 53 years (!!!) and I pretty much have opposite political views. However, we don’t let our views interfere with the fact that we care so much about each other. The political landscape will always evolve and we just can’t let that come between our friendship. Thank you, Carolyn, for reminding me of this! I hope to see you at the NM meet up.

I really see where you are coming from. I retired twelve years ago and I am enjoying almost every minute of it. I ditched my driver's license last November one day before my 76th birthday. I don't miss it. The bicycle is my freedom ride. I have been riding bike off and on since I learned to ride when in the third grade. I feel like I am in better shape at age 76 than I did at age 16. The bicycle is making a comeback.

Brava! I'm a 69 year old overweight woman that is traveling with my oldest daughter and her wife. We've been on the road for 1 yr 8 months now. It's been incredible. I'm so impressed with the two strong women I travel with, that fix things themselves and work so hard to give me experiences I've never gotten to have as a former wife, mother and grandmother. My makeup is gone. My hair is a lovely shade of white. I've grown in nature during this time and will be forever grateful that my daughter sold her home when I became sick and took me on an adventure. Bless you Carolyn. You are a beautiful person. 💕

To each his own. I'm an avid boondocker and always bathe every day, shave, and make myself look the best and be the best I can always be. It costs me nothing along with exercise and diet. Unfortunately, nature doesn't look inside the creature, it's always first impressions that count be it a tiger, a horse, a lizard or a human being. JMHO

Me too. I am 67 living in a condo, don’t care about impressing anyone anymore, and was more concerned with makeup and looks when younger. I did choose an outdoor career in gardening, however, so never had to dress up, which suited me fine. Sometimes I’m not sure I even recognize my former self….

An eye opening message that all people should consider in their own personal lives. Thank you for your truthfulness and openness on your views of politics, religion, etc. Not everyone would expose their views however people should that's what makes the world go round people talking whether you agree or disagree doesn't mean you can't talk and hash things out about how you feel. So Carolyn , thank you so much for the time and the effort you put in personally to share with each and every one of your viewers and topics from A to Z.. thank you for the time you put in editing and making this presentable to the viewers, I know it's time consuming. Safe travels, have a great meet up in New Mexico . Sincerely, Shay's Ways

Been living in my car for 4 years I was tired of being an apartment I was always worried about my hair my makeup my clothes everything everything you're saying I was the same way I just want to close her to the nature I go into my daughter's houses and I cannot be in there very long I have to get back out I love living outside once you figure out everything you pretty much go with the flow and days pass so much faster than you know I drive a 2010 Dodge journey and I have plugins to cook and this one and it's been the best yeah I need more room but I'll set it with this for now but I love the trees I love the water I love the animals and yes you're right you always have to be top number one on your surroundings don't ever think you're out there by yourself because there's always somebody it don't matter where they're at they're always there I've learned that but it takes years to figure out things out once you get it figured out it's a piece of cake so yep I'm right there with you girl

All those creams and potions don't stop aging. A bit of sunscreen if you are in the sun or a good hat and you are good. I think all those creams women put on their faces can't be good, all those chemicals and crap when our skin just needs to be clean, protected from the sun and good nutrition. Clean and natural is what I go for now and on occasion I will put on make-up and dress up. You are not overweight you are perfect the way you are.

Thanks again for such an honest look into your RV life. I'm 18 months into my own 'full-timing' and my experience has been very similar. I too left a corporate job in a big city to 'live my best life'. Recently, I stopped in to visit friends still living my old life and I was shocked how negative and miserable they all were. I couldn't get out of there fast enough......

Hi Carolyn hi Sadie girl💕🐾💕🐾 It's extremely obvious to me that your #1 change is your self confidence❣❣ Watch one of your 1st videos and then watch this one. After living in my rv for 4yrs 8mos society is lucky I put on a bra (for them) when I go out into public 🤣🤣 I also quit wearing makeup, curling my hair and put less attention on my clothes. Thank you rv life for freeing me of always worrying about my appearance. When I moved into my RV I took my pink 5in J LO heels with me but never wore them🤣🤣 Coming up on 59 April 24th. Funny what people notice and feel the need to point out. I've never noticed your chapped lips or any wrinkles🤣 and who cares anyhow🤣🤣 It's been a pleasure to watch you grow in confidence and evolve from within. I wish everyone was a work in progress. I began therapy at age 18 and have had to work my ass off to survive, heal and grow. And it's neverending. Coming up on 26yrs sober April 25th the day after my bellybutton bday. Carolyn thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me watch your journey in this lifetime🥰 You are such a beautiful and inspirational soul touching so many hearts. You are beautiful inside and out💙🦋💙 Oh and the pain you've went through with heartbreak for Capone and Huck and writing your book is a huge part of your spiritual growth on your journey. Much love💞💞🤗

Carolyn, what you said is true, you have to be kind, considerate, and thoughtful when dealing with people who hold different political views. it's not hard, it all starts with respect, show the other person respect, and that when things open up between human beings. You are absolutely correct, we basically want that same things, and I find it next to impossible to be disagreeable with someone I am talking to about politics. The best way for me is to find an area where we do agree, and tell them so, that tends to drop their guard. Thanks Carolyn.

I'm not materialistic either. I just have the necessities like a phone,, food, clothes, shelter and transportation. I learned years ago material things will only create a false sense of happiness. People tell me that I'm really good with managing my money. The only reason they say that is because I don't desire anything but necessities so I don't spend much money.

I agree with you on not caring so much about how I look. I’m 72 yrs. old now as a high schooler I dressed in perfectly starched shirts, pressed slacks, polished shoes. Later in my 20’s and 30’s I took on a very “preppy” look. But now I just don’t give a crap. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a slob but fashion is way in my rear view mirror. Other things take it’s place like health and making ends meet and my significant other. I understand what you were saying here and I admire your guts. Don from Toledo, Ohio. So true- well said! Anti aging cream doesn't work anyway! Freedom is priceless! We have bough a small hidden forest in the UK . All off grid! We go for weeks sometimes. I wear the same over clothes for days - just changing underwear We work all day chopping down trees, building stuff, making paths, planting, levelling muddy ground! We are making our piece of freedom and heaven on earth. It costs very little in bills. We need very little in reality. Sitting amongst the trees by a fire with the birds is happiness to me, We have no internet / phone signal and have to deliberately go to the place where we can get a signal to contact people. It is so liberating!

Everything you say hits home for me. And yes, people in our own country, I've come across some nice, a lot are so darn judging it's unreal! I'm making a shirt saying how's that glass house working for you?! Great video!

You nailed it! You just described my upbringing all different views, lifestyles, politics I knew there's a reason I watched you. We can have our own viewpoints, and very respectful of others. I just want to thank you for your content you have been posting for the 3 years I've been watching. And I've gone back to the beginning and watched it well stated this video! This old fart appreciates that, probably the reason I've been watching for 3 years whether I agree with you or not.. I love you and as I see it channel also. Keep preaching kid!

Excellent video. Everyone could adopt these ideas even if they are not living in an RV. Be yourself, live with less, be more tolerant.

Carolyn I think you look great!!! Only what you think is all that matters, but I just want to let you know what I think! My husband just turned 56 and I think he still looks great!!! Plus all that makeup ect.... eventually messes up the skin, and then people end up having to keep wearing makeup cuz that's what they got their skin adapted to! Thank you always for sharing!! You are a very knowledgeable, creative, caring, talented and beautiful person!!! Much love to ya! See you next time!!! ☺❤👍

I've recently come up with the idea that social media has ruined our country. We used to have to do research on candidates before voting. Now EVERYTHING is out on social media to the point where it's made entire countries so much more divided. I moved from the Bay Area to the Fort Myers Florida area a few years ago. I've also realized how intolerant I have been. In some ways I'm okay with being intolerant of certain views. For me it's about being authentic, and trying to communicate with people authenticity from my heart centered attitude. I think of everyone in the conversation is willing to be honest but also accepting that we can agree to disagree oh, then I think you can have a good conversation about understanding where people are coming from. But I think so many people have gotten so drilled down to their extreme beliefs that it's really hard to be truly kind. I often have to work hard to have a good attitude.

After leaving my home in Albuquerque and moving in with my 88yr old father, I found your videos, Carolyn, and my father and I watched yours, Bob's, and several others videos. Wecmade several trips over the 5 1/2 years I lived with him. He gave me his 14' travel trailer, and now that he's passed, I am beginning our dream of living FT in it with 2 cats in May. You and Bob, and Hanks, Endless RV, etc showed me I can do this. Nomadland clenched it, I have some grieving and mourning to do for both parents; I know the road and the winds call me to do it there. Carolyn, thank you for your teaching videos, your courage, and just being you.

For me, hitting 50 provided my "I don't give a damn what you think about me." Bras no longer worn, hair cut perhaps twice a year. I was never big on makeup, so not putting on mascara regularly was an easy give-up. It helped that I could retire early. I bought an RV and when I went into towns, I took more care.

So much to look forward to, although as the weeks get closer to my move as a full-time single, 78-year-old female, I find myself getting scared. Today, the date was confirmed that I will leave the house and move into my trailer on June 20. I am holding on tight to each of your videos and ones that can calm me and help me to be hopeful. It would help a little if I could at least see what I am moving into and what I will be driving, but all have been done sight-unseen. Even at that, as the Mortgage company plays games I don't know if the trailer people and the man who owns the truck will be able to hang in there with me and wait for them to get money in hand. All I could afford was a small down payment and they have been hanging in there for over a month, so lots of fingers and toes are crossed! Thanks, Carolyn..maybe we will run into each other on the road someday.
