About This Video:
In this eye-opening discussion, we dive deep into the often-overlooked side effects of statins, commonly prescribed for heart disease. Despite their widespread use to lower cholesterol, statins can lead to significant side effects, with muscle pain and fatigue being the most common due to mitochondrial dysfunction. Up to 50% of patients experience adverse effects, ranging from cognitive issues to erectile dysfunction, and even diabetes.
Our experts emphasise the importance of patient-centred care and informed decision-making. They reveal that for many, the benefits of statins are marginal at best, especially for those at low risk of heart disease. Shocking statistics are shared: for every 100 patients, only one may avoid a non-fatal heart attack over five years.
We also explore alternative approaches, like lifestyle changes and nutritional supplements, which can enhance overall health and potentially reduce the need for statins. This comprehensive discussion sheds light on the critical balance between the benefits and risks of statins, urging viewers to have thorough discussions with their healthcare providers.
Stay tuned as we unravel the complex world of heart disease prevention and the true impact of statins on your health.

I’m 57 just had a calcium score test came in at 108 , first thing doctor prescribed statins till I seen a cardiologist, went to cardiologist passed with flying colours I’m very fit and work out regularly blood pressure perfect cholesterol slightly elevated, so cardiologist insisted on statins,on doing some research I quickly came to the conclusion that my decision to never starting the medication was the best choice for me,and I’m very comfortable with that decision 😊

I had muscle pain and fatigue when put on statins 20 + years ago! Went to my GP who told me it was all in my head! So I stopped taking them and this all stopped! Why would anyone take a drug that makes them feel really sick!!! Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now! Do research!

Thank you for a very interesting and informative discussion. A few years ago i was prescribed Lipitor 20mg a day for slightly elevated cholesterol. After a few months I could not do my daily walk of 6000 steps. Went to my gp twice before she sent me for a blood test. Ck was very elevated indicating muscle damage. Stopped the statins immediately. So glad i voiced my concerns to my gp as all she kept telling me that my readings had come dow. Some doctors are no more than pill pushers for big pharma.

I’m slowly recovering from a shoulder/arm injury that had no obvious cause six months ago. I stopped taking Rosuvastatin after watching a few videos about the high level of side effects. I was already eating healthily and was active walking and weightlifting. The injury was not from lifting.

Happily aged 70, did not take any experimental,untested mRNA jabs..would not take statin drugs..after following a Keto eating journey am now close to full carnivore. It seems that reducing cholesterol does not reduce heart attacks,strokes or improve health in any way….

I cut carbs and processed foods. Read up on cholestrol lowering foods and my ldl dropped from 7.5 to 5.2 in 1 month and lost 3 kg. I think it helps to educate yourself. Also excersise and live stress free. Sleep well too. Not always easy. I was very stressed and overworking when my ldl was high and eating quick easy dinners or takeaways

Hi, my doctor prescribes statins rosuvastatin (Crestor) for cholesterol control.After a year I developed what could be similar to Alzheimer's symptoms. I had difficulty remembering things ( 15 minutes of memory ).I had been tested with the Montreal test and they said that I could have the beginning of Alzheimer's. After that I went to the internet google and KZfaq and from there some KZfaq doctors told in a video that statins were affecting cholesterol and that the brain made up with a lot of it. Guest what, I stopped taking those statins and 2 weeks after I didn't have any symptoms. A real miracle, I could have continue taking that medicine and have bad symptoms for the reste of my life. KZfaq had made me realize what could have been the source of my problem. No thanks to my doctor and his staff. . LESSON : STATINE ARE NOT WITHOUT RISK!

I had a stent fitted and was immediately prescribed with statins. After a few months I noticed a large amount of hair loss. This I understand is rare, but it has been proven to happen. My GP took me off the statins and I had a further blood test for my cholesterol after three months. My level had dropped slightly after my life style and diet changes. I have not taken statins since. Unfortunately, since I had four Covid jabs I have been very breathless and diagnosed with a faulty heart valve and may need a replacement.

@@felixjackson2670 Of course if you were vegetarian and not vegan, you consumed dairy which is very hight in cholesterol! Plants do not have cholesterol! How about compassion???
@felixjackson2670
@felixjackson2670 26 күн бұрын
@@natgarrison2300 yes,you are totally correct. Compassion is important. Did you know that cholesterol is an essential thing. Our brain is made up of cholesterol. Sugar and Carbohydrate(which breaks down into glucose) are the non-essential and deeply harmful foods for humans. Responsible for most of todays most serious health issues. Not the animal protein and fat that man and women have evolved to consume over hundreds of thousands of years. Interesting that heart attacks have only been an issue since humans started eating low fat,high carb. foods. Plus of course ‘vegetable’ oil..which started as lubrication for machinery and is highly toxic..but that’s another story.

@@felixjackson2670 When my FIL died, we moved in with Mom who had Alzheimer's type dementia. First thing I did was throw out all the fat-free food she ate. From then on she ate real foods cooked from scratch whenever possible. Some days the daytime caregivers gave her more instant food but mostly she ate regular, honest food/fuel. She lived for 8 years, 7 of which she was bed bound due to a fall. She was frightened to be mobile. Up until the last two weeks, she would smile at us. Then the disease got to the point that even water caused her pain. Her mother, sister, and brother all developed Alzheimer's type dementia. She had two sons and both are not eating fat-free foods and eating to fuel their bodies and not strictly to please their taste buds or fill up. I predict neither one will have dementia. We do not use seed oils nor eat anything containing seed oils. Olive, coconut, avocado oil is it. And Ghee. Very little white ingestibles like flour, sugar, rice...
