The guys swinging those sled hammers are amazing, the ones they are swing must be at least 30 pounders, back in the day I had to swing a 20 pounder maybe for 3 or 4 minutes and rest for 3 or 4 minutes believe swinging a 20 pounder is hard work I can not imagine swinging a 30 pounder for 10 to 15 minutes straight like these guys are doing. Amazing Yes!

This is very very old generation tech. Doesn't happen like this in any modern Steel mill.

Yup, 19th century tech, as seen in this painting from a German steel mill in the 1870s: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Iron_Rolling_Mill_(Modern_Cyclopes) at least the workers in this video are wearing closed shoes or boots and not the usual "safety flip flops". Still highly dangerous, especially with the white hot steel bars snaking around while passing through the rollers. I wonder how many accidents they have each year. Never ever lose your concentration and always be aware what is happening around you, including behind your back.

That old man, turning around the bars with the that tool had serious strength. I used to flip H beams with a tool like that to weld the oposite side. It's heavy as fuck, even when you use the tool in the middle of the beam. This old man turns a solide bar at the very end, like it's nothing.

Yo trabajé en una sidedurjica un poco más moderna q está, eran 12 horas de trabajo duro, siempre al trote, nos sentíamos como esclavos, ví compañeros quemarse con varillas al rojo vivo, yo también me quemé varias veces, duré 14 años y todo lo hacíamos por mantener a nuestras familias.

Agco used to buy their frame rails from suppliers in India and Pakistan, way too many problems with quality control and hours spent correcting mistakes, they now produce them in house

Наверное никогда не видели как работает волочильщик в прокатном , там спец одежда в 1,5 пальца толщиной.И обувь соответствующая . Жаль все это разворовали , тогда не было телефонов.это очень тяжелая ( раньше считалась престижная профессия) и опасная профессия, сколько ног и рук ... люди там оставили .. не говоря о здоровье! У меня отец отработал 23 года! И не какой вентиляции ...
