Let's be real, Eggman being a normal human and still being able to percieve Sonic's movements AT ALL is pretty insane.

A physical strength feat for eggman is that he shattered a thick wall of solid ice in lost world by punching it like 4 times and although he hurt himself he got over it quickly which displays some level of above average strength and endurance

Eggman was also able to absolutely body Starline in IDW Issue 50 with only his personal physical strength. Frontiers also cannonizes (at least some of) the IDW comics.

Tail's explanation of what the Phantom Ruby can do confused me a lot, until I thought of it like Freddy Kreuger's power. Where dreams/a fake reality can affect yourself in the real world. Also I know it's a lower end feat, but didn't Eggman split the earth into 7 pieces in Unleashed with one of his inventions? It was to prematurely awaken Dark Gaia.

Eggman's speed would actually be a cutscene thing, locking Sonic at a set distance from Eggman in an auto running section. So no, that cannot be written off as a gameplay mechanic. Also Eggman has comparable durability feats to Sonic given how many times he's survived the destruction of these mechs in these voids beyond time and space.

Idk if you wanna count this but you could include The Nega Wisp Armor. In an unused audio file I think Eggman says that the Hyper-go-on energy (wisp energy) is greater than the chaos emeralds, this is supported when Super Sonic has too fight the Mother wisp. However due too how sketchy the statement is and if you even wanna count the DS version as Canon I could understand why you wouldn’t see the NWA as that powerful.

I also just realized, could you say the only reason Infinite is stated as the most powerful villain yet is because Sonic 06 technically didn’t happen? ‘Cause the events of 06 got erased at the end of the game, so the next in line to remember from would be the time eater, which i would have a better time believing how Infinite could be stronger than.

Loving the video dude, but hope you don't mind a little bit of devil's advocacy on behalf of Eggman's speed and the early Sonic games. I first want to point to Sonic CD, where upon his escape from little planet in one of the endings; Sonic sees Eggman fleeing in just his eggmobile and throws a rock at super speed blowing him out of the sky with a death cloud to boot! If that isn't Sonic trying to kill him, I'm not quite sure what else would count. I then want to address Sonic 2 where this scene takes place is more of an interactive cutscene. Outside Eggman's own animations during boss fights, the Tornado speeding into view and the ending pixel art, Sonic games up until that point didn't have much in-game machinima. So allowing the player to control sonic as per usual, but keeping him away from eggman seems more like a writing choice rather than a gameplay one. If true, then in that instance I would say it's implied in the canon at that point Eggman could outsprint Sonic in certain situations. This topic was heavily talked about back in the adventure/dreamcast era whenever you gained access to Eggman in the Chao Gardens and he proved to have as high of a movement speed as any of the other characters. Granted this does seem like a purely gameplay centered decision, but why? How would Eggy moving a bit slower hurt user experience in such a small space? Again, I'm kind of led to believe there is a story reason for it. Final piece of conjecture comes from Shadow the Hedgehog. During the Ark mission, you gain control of Maria Robotnik. Funnily enough, her movement speed is just as high as Eggman's in SA2. Again, we gotta ask ourselves: "Why is that?". If you ask me, I think Canonically (at least in the old canon) Eggman along with most other humans are meant to be fast. Faster than Sonic? No. But probably about as fast as Amy if not just a bit slower. Add in one exhausted Sonic after a tough boss fight and Ol Eggy could probably beat him in a short sprint.

I find it crazy how many video game chars are legit higher than you think Mario,Bomberman,joker,Arceus,ness, Kirby,and sonic are prime examples but i heard universal arguments for Samus,pac man,cloud,Chrono,link,and Asura

I wish you'd have given eggman the titans from frontiers, since his creation "SAGE" can control them. And they're able to kill super sonic as seen in a death animation.

The power of the Stars is not in fact stronger than The Chaos Emeralds. It is just better at taking RAW power from. every time you see Eggman using the Emeralds it in a machine, something that can use Emotion, magic or thoughts. Eggman stating the Power of the Stars or Phantom Ruby is stronger than the Chaos Emeralds or Master Emerald is false. They are simply stronger than the readings Eggman gets from the RAW power of Chaos, not the TRUE power of Chaos. Super Sonic always defeated any machine powered by the Emeralds, as He was using the True power of the Chaos Emeralds (thoughts, emotions and magic.) That's why He beat the Eggwizard without taking damage, because His Super form was far stronger than most powers. Raw Chaos Energy >>> Power of the Stars >>>>>>>>>>>> True Chaos Energy power ♾
